Jesus Reigned Posted 24 January, 2009 Share Posted 24 January, 2009 If you were given two options yesterday, ie things could either stay as they were or Wotte could come in, which would you have chosen? I know we're still screwed to put it mildly, but I was wondering if people think, relatively at least, that we're better off with Wotte in charge than we were with Poortvliet? LaptopSaint Posted 24 January, 2009 Share Posted 24 January, 2009 Depends what formation he decides to play. Two up front at home and i'll give him a chance.

Jesus Reigned Posted 24 January, 2009 Author Share Posted 24 January, 2009 Neither? Exactly; bit of a rock and a hard place question, but was interested to know what people's opinions were!
Doctoroncall Posted 24 January, 2009 Share Posted 24 January, 2009 The only purpose the change can make is to right a few wrongs (system and tactics), but I don't think that is going to happen with Mr Chocolate in charge of team affairs.
Sheff Saint Posted 24 January, 2009 Share Posted 24 January, 2009 A bit more optimistic. A bit. A very small amount. From 0% confident we'll stop up to 5%. It's a change, and that was undoubtly needed. So fingers crossed. But my head still says it's an absolute farce and without any doubt Lowe needs to go. Technically he didn't even instigate this, JP quit, so IF Wotte does turn it around he can't even take any real credit for taking action. Cos he ain't. sadoldgit Posted 24 January, 2009 Share Posted 24 January, 2009 There needed to be a change and that change has been made. Hopefully Wotte will prove to be a better option but only time will tell (despite him already being written off as a failure). With little cash to spalsh it might make sense to upgrade Wotte and bring in another striker. If Wotte can keep the away form going and turn around the woeul home form we shall be okay. Let's pray, for the sake of SFC, that he can.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 24 January, 2009 Share Posted 24 January, 2009 Given that JP HAD to go, Wotte is the answer to the question. However, Wotte is NOT the answer to SFC's plight. It's another cheap option that will end up going horribly wrong IMO. This seals our relegation...thanks Lowe and Wilde you tw&ts.

saintstr1 Posted 24 January, 2009 Share Posted 24 January, 2009 echo the last sentence but as they came as a pair i cannot see anything changing in my opinion Totally agree , And when we get hammered by Norwich on Tuesday and Swansea next Saturday the situation will be allmost beyond recall. I cant believe the Idiots at SFC have learned nothing and this appointment is just the Wigley Scenario repeated and look where we ended up that season. St Marco Posted 24 January, 2009 Share Posted 24 January, 2009 Right now i have not made any remarks about Wotte good or bad. Reason for that is we should at least see what he does before we criticise him. He could change the formation and selection/positions to what we all want and get results. Think we would all be happy with that. Or he could as probably most likely continue with the work him and his fellow Dutchman have started. If that happens then of course we are screwed and this could possibly go down as the second fatal decision by Lowe in just one season. Either way i'm still protesting next week.
