Who is steering the ship?

Had this conversation in the pub on Friday… who is actually keeping the good ship SFC on course at the moment?

Whatever we thought of Semmens - he knew how to run a club operationally. I believe Henrik Kraft is nominally CEO at the moment but don’t believe he has any experience of running a football club (isn’t he more of an investor type?) - which is a specialist skill these days.

The level of turnover we’ve had - my to mention SR being focussed on buying Valenciennes - hasn’t helped either. With so many in new positions (and with many yet to be filled) continuity is going to be challenging to say the least.

I’m not sure Wilcox is even in situ yet(?) - who is overseeing player sales / purchases? Let’s also not forget that JW is stepping up into a broader, more senior DoF role too, albeit at a smaller club.

Reflecting, pretty much every major decision SR have made this far has been flawed at best, catastrophic at worst (ref. the last two managerial appointments). Not sure how much faith I have that they have the capability to keep things running smoothly with so much change going on.

How about that for an upbeat pre-season post?! 😂😫

They’re working on them already. You seriously think Wilcox is sitting around in the garden ? There’s nothing to stop him analysing players and hes got enough contacts to enable him to make discreet phone calls.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we have a hit list already.

Well whoever thought playing Bournemouth in a friendly is clearly  clueless what will that do for Martins acceptance here?
He needs wins early playing a Prem team won’t help that.

I don’t obviously know what’s happening with Swansea compensation but it’s not going to help us if we want to recruit from there over what 500k ?

I'm guessing that part is a joke?

Why do you think that with the squad we have and club in a bit of a mess at moment no back room staff to start with playing a Prem side is sensible?

We're also playing a League One team. Results of friendlies don't matter. What an utterly bizarre thing to complain about.

No problems.  The cleaning staffs have everything under control at SMS and Staplewood.

After the mass exit of the Board and other staff members, they are the only people who know where the toilets are.
