In talks with Werder Bremen over a loan move, apparently. 

This bit in the article y9u posted caught my eye.

Can clearly see why they see Downes as the answer. 

Glad their recruitment of strikers has been as good as ours, perhaps their Head of Scouting will be brought to Saints in the summer.

Can't beleive so many fans were taken in by the club PR bullshit about someone they'd never heard of when he signed. Simeone needs holding to account for this disaster - no injuries, no adjustment required - just simply way off it. Pathetic......
