Messi is such a rare talent and example. Why would I take the risk of signing a short player? Jelert is a defender, and he's not a right-winger like Messi.

Cannavaro? On your ignore list I presume.

Thought he looked really decent at Anfield. Seemed more agile, but also happier to push forward and play the right passes forward, into space

He lost Chiesa for their winner, but in fairness to him it was a very clever run and playing a back 5 you might expect Edwards or Wood to have picked him up so that space in the RB space wasn't left. He was subbed for Fellows 2 mins later on 88 mins and went off with a face like thunder really pissed off about their goal.

Looked lively all night and definitely applying pressure on Mads & Manning. He starts at RB for me against Middlesborough.

Interestingly Denmark have played Jelert 3 times in the last 2 years with just 1 for Mads.

You'd think they'd have a pretty good idea of the comparative merits of both players.

Jelert, playing as a full-back in a five-man defense, is too short and like a pretzel stick, even for a five-man defense. A shameful transfer.

It never mattered for Clyne or KWP. I'm not writing him off yet.

He’s played a fair few games now and we have an option to buy. Would you sign him or let him return to Turkey at the end of the season?

If we go up I would let him go back and sign a new first choice RB with Bree as back up. If we don’t go up I would consider keeping him as a back up for Bree.

We've got Roslev on a 3 year deal so if we wont be keeping him and Bree whatever league we're in.
