Quick question - when do the away games get added to your Saints account?  At time of purchase or after the actual game?

Wondering if I buy Oxford / Birmingham tickets, will these be allocated to my account for when P*mpey tickets go on sale in a few week??

Cheers - missus will be happy that i can give the Oxford game a miss on Boxing Day if the tickets are not going to count for P*mpey game

Credits get added 24 hours after the game

Not sure if the tickets for the skates will go on sale before or after Christmas, so those two games may count.

I think it'll probably be before as the last few have gone on over 4 weeks before.

Even if not I doubt the oxford game will matter as anyone who qualifies for that will qualify for the skates regardless.

It will interesting to see if Oxford allocation sells out at 20+ to 12+ games. That would mean 1,300 for anyone with 11+ down maybe 9+.

The aways may reset before the Pompey tickets go on sale but may not matter as if mine goes from 8 to 4 the others will be same give or take a few hundred that have gone to more aways this season than last season.

I agree I think they'll want to get them sold and travel sorted to plan picks up etc, not clear if we'll all have to go to St Mary's, I understand from meeting earlier in the year police were open to multiple pick up locations for buses like the skates did.

Also don't think you'll need *that* many aways

Oxford away likely to sell out to season ticket holders with 20 aways made me laugh , such a rubbish allocation for a localish game

Oxford won't get anywhere near 12 I doubt, be surprised if it went below 17/18. And yeah I'd be surprised if the aways didn't reset as they normally do in January.

Yeah the whole coach stuff definitely adds a whole extra layer of admin for the club to sort so I'd be surprised if it wasn't on sale before Christmas.

Yeah it was said pre season that there would be more pickup points this time round. Skates had two in Pompey and one at Winchester so I'd expect there to be one outside the City. Probably look at where high pointers are based to decide where.

And I don't think it'll be that high either, max of 14 with only 4 with a higher allocation. I reckon it'll sell out around the 5-7 mark.

Resetting the aways this season does seem mad. People who continued to go to every away in last season’s shit show should get some reward.

Is a visit to Fratton any “reward”?

Tbf they did get the reward which access to the earlier games in the season, and that then guarantees access to the later ones and smaller allocations. Despite how much people moan on here the system is pretty fair, and as someone who does a lot of aways (currently have 23 on my account with charlton, millwall and oxford bought but not done, from this season and last) i can tell you you recognise the hard core that are at most games.

Wrexham going to be a tough one even with nothing to play for, 1200 will probably need to have done most aways

Yeah, you’re probably right, I’m currently on 23 as well but I do think they could probably find another way rather than losing every away from last season, but it’ll probably over complicate it.

This is becoming difficult, I think it’s likely I won’t get a Birmingham ticket with 15 aways after having no chance of an Oxford ticket. I don’t know if there is a better system but this feels a bit like pulling the ladder up

There's been about 8 games this season which have gone to all season ticket holders, possibly more than that even.

Away tickets have largely been pretty easy to get this season bar a couple of obvious exceptions.

Brum will go well down being a monday night between Christmas and new year. Definitely get one on 15.

Yep , I can guarantee 15 aways will be fine for Birmingham away, Monday night game not the easiest to get to

Similar allocation that we have at Norwich still plenty left for that on sale to members

I'm glad you've put this. There seems to be a bit of hysteria on this thread which doesn't reflect the actual experience.

I'm a member who gets a handful of local aways, just localish ones to me.

I got my Norwich ticket no bother and there still are some on sale now. I am expecting to get Stoke/Sheff Wed/Cov/other local to me games in the new year.

People do need to realise they won't get into tiny stadiums like Oxford or really obvious London/ big aways without a season ticket, other than that it feels OK in my experience this season.

I think you'll struggle for Coventry being a Saturday away game, due to their promotion expectations they've cut away allocation to 2000 to free up more seats for home fans

The holy grail away day this season is Middlesbrough on a sunday in early January,  should be triple away loyalty points offered by the club for that one

Yes you are probably right. I think it was a Tuesday evening last time and was no bother. Different ball game now.

Yeah it's frustrating. I remember at the start of the season when Northampton and Watford sold out quickly and people were moaning about 'closed shop' etc.

Didn't really hear anything when the next 6/7 all went to all season ticket holders and beyond though.

If you've got a season ticket and you're willing to do a lot of games then it's dead easy to work your way near to the top.

This will be proven when Fratton comes around and shows that someone who started this season on 0 could have got a ticket.

Coventry probably depends how we're doing by then. If we're in and around play offs then I think it'll be popular but if not there'll be plenty not willing to pay 40 quid to watch us get battered.

I'm really interested to see how many go to Boro with it being a Sunday before most people go back to work. Wouldn't surprise me if it was our lowest away following in the league for years.
