What can you do, our bowling, Abbott apart, is sub-standard and tends to be expensive. 

Baker may well be a top bowler one day but right now he's erratic and lacks control.

The main problem I feel is the retirement of Dawson which has left us without a top class spinner  and crap batsmen.

Baker is sometimes erratic I agree but he played well in the Hundred and got regular wickets

But not for Hampshire and the doings of Manchester Super Giants are no affair of ours.

Perhaps we need to get their bowling coach, don't think we have one at all.

Pretty much all over now for Hampshire in Division one now. Glamorgan losing to Leicestershire and Hampshire doing their upmost best to help Yorkshire survive.

No surprise really, we've been heading down these last two seasons. 

Fundamental problems not adressed, no real openers, poor captain who doesn't even merit his place in the side,no real spinner and one reliable seam bowler. Plus head in the sand reliance on "young players" who've failed time after time.

We need to get 2 openers, Gubbins at 3, don't suppose Lehmann will stay on,Albert at 4,Mayes at 5 and keep wicket, new spinner who can bat a bit,then perhaps Neal,  Abbott and 3 other players.

Lost, good effort from the lower middle order. Might have done better but for the leg side hoicking that cost us at least 3 wickets.

His bowling over all has been good this season and he has been recalled to the Test Squad

Strange strategy this morning, if it is that, see off 10 overs without forcing the scoring rate and then accelerate .

Played it very well. Started slowly to make sure no wicket loss pressure and upped the tempo in the second hour. Glamorgan need 302 in 66 overs. 

Draw still favourite but if we can take early wickets and weather does not interfere we have a chance.

CC table is actually quite funny, though depressing at the same time.  We have 3 batting points from 10 games this season... Next lowest total is 13!  Laughably bad, and pretty damning of the people responsible for signing players.

Been that way for 2 seasons. When you think that at the end of the 24 season we failed to win the championship for 1 wicket that we couldn't take and now we're certainly going to Div2.

Lost 4 big players, appointed a non-entity as captain and continued to rely on "young players" some of whom have gone backwards.

Obviously we expected far too much from the new owners who obviously don't give a toss about county cricket.

I see that we have a new player for the last 4 games. An allrounder from NZ. First class bowling and batting averages are about the same, a bit over 30. Not so dusty then.

I can tell you there is clear embarrassment when I spoke to Chairman Nick Pike and separately club Cricket Secretary Tim Tremlett. Total shambles which will not only damage the profile of the club but also will have a financial impact!

Not yet known who let this happen but full investigation underway. Glad they made the right decision in the end. There was a clear anger from supporters followed by relief when he was withdrawn.

Awful day at the an abject  performance by the team dreadful weather and a PR disaster with the Kiwi bloke

Probably the worst experience watching since June 1961 when I watched them at Hinckley the year we won the Championship

We are OK with White Ball cricket but apart from Abbott the red ball lot are not up to it but do the club care probably not

Interesting comment from Carbs today.

He said that the young players are arriving at pro level with all the toys and whistles for limited overs cricket and a lot of them don't pick up the technique and finesse needed for red ball cricket.Well that was the jist of it anyway.

That may be true but Warwickshire batted well today

We have 3 batting bonus points I am sorry I keep going on about but other teams have over 20

We do not have a decent red ball spinner  and as you said recently the young pace bowlers bowl to short although Currie bowled OK today

Fuller has been great but he is hopeless at present
