Dr Who? Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I’m off to Berlin today any recommendations while I am out there with Mrs Dr.Who? I have tickets for Metallica while out there on the Saturday, which will be the 14th time seeing them. We return late on Sunday. 😃 🇩🇪
iansums Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago We went last April, my main recommendation would be the Third Reich walking tour, that was fascinating. We also took a day trip by train to Dresden which was very good.

whelk Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Went recently and enjoyed bars in Kreuzberg - sort of anti-fascist Bohemian part. Felt very quiet compared to other busy cities but as above post recommend a WW2 walking tour. Wasn’t fussed about Checkpoint Charlie and Brandenburg Gate but some good free museums. Topography of Terror if you want a reminder of how evil the Nazis were. Also some interesting stuff about the wall. Season finished but football is a different level there in terms of experience of the day with thousands there two hours before game drinking etc. Transport easy to get around on trains, didn’t try the trams, although Ubers were very cheap too.
