slickmick Posted 5 February, 2009 Share Posted 5 February, 2009 I see your thinking and agree. Seems whenever we boo it always backfires.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 5 February, 2009 Author Share Posted 5 February, 2009 When he scores? Not necessarily, however it always happens that if you boo a former player they will score at some point. Already happened this season with Best at the Ricoh, but then again, on that day anyone would have scored against us!
Weston Saint Posted 5 February, 2009 Share Posted 5 February, 2009 I say ignore. He plays for the opposition now. He is not one of us. Don't give him an advantage either way.

Saint Mikey Posted 5 February, 2009 Share Posted 5 February, 2009 So, first we boo our own players and now we cheer the opposition? Outstanding.
Bourno Posted 5 February, 2009 Share Posted 5 February, 2009 I say ignore. He plays for the opposition now. He is not one of us. Don't give him an advantage either way. Agree, the boy did well, whilst he was here. He then decided not to stick around. He therefore deserves a cheer and a boo....this would be confusing so best ignore. a1ex2001 Posted 5 February, 2009 Share Posted 5 February, 2009 He didn't play for us long enough to deserve either, he's just another member of the Watford team.

Andy_Porter Posted 5 February, 2009 Share Posted 5 February, 2009 Treat him like any other player, I couldn't give a **** tbh.
madsent Posted 5 February, 2009 Share Posted 5 February, 2009 When he scores? I wouldn't necessarily begrudge him scoring one of Watford's inevitable 3 against us as he gave 100% for us. Let's just hope we can get 3 or 4.
SaintRobbie Posted 5 February, 2009 Share Posted 5 February, 2009 Applaud or boo? I say applaud. Applaud. He probably kept us above Charlton. And I dont blame him for leaving this badly managed Club.

krissyboy31 Posted 5 February, 2009 Share Posted 5 February, 2009 Applaud when his name is announced before the game. Then treat him the same as any othe opposition player during the game. You can applaud him again when he gets subbed, due to being run ragged by DMcG.
fish fingers Posted 5 February, 2009 Share Posted 5 February, 2009 Why would you do either? he was a loan player who played a few games for us, big deal.
