Two were Holmes and one was Lallana. Bit simplistic to say we should just get a new striker. why..we have stern john and he scored a bucket load last season for us.. Indeed! Unless we're all accepting the second half collapse as inevitable (in which case we might as well give up for the season now), we have to be encouraged by that. The chances we are creating prove that we are playing the right way,with more experience the boys will start to put these chances away. What decent striker are we going to get with no money? I may be wrong though You're absolutely right. John is also a far better team player than McGoldrick - he can hold the ball up and bring players in, as well as score from any position.
