How well did Saga play at Watford?

I thought he looked sharp and hungry .. he would certainly have scored if mcgoldrick had squared a ball to him instead of going for goal himself... I also felt he was looking always to play off the last man when liptak came on late in the game to profit from his aerial power... the combination looked dangerous and watford started to struggle to cope with the high balls being thrown in .

Saga's probably pretty worried about his future, probably has been for a while.

I mean it's not as if he hasn't looked for other clubs is it? He's on a decent screw here, yet all he could find elsewhere was a walk-on part at Aalborg.

I think the psychological effect of administration and impending doom on the players has been vastly underestimated on this forum. They've probably known it was going to happen for a while now.A lot of them are probably just trying too damn hard and the pressure got to them. It explains a lot of bad results and atrocious performances. Saga's been shoved around Europe for the last 2 or 3 years, probably wants a settled place somewhere, says he likes Southampton, but there may not be a future for him here now.

I hear it's got to Morgan as well.

I think the problem Saga is having stems from us playing wingers on the wrong side of the pitch, as a little guy he needs the ball pulled back from the byline towards the penalty spot so he gets a run on defenders who are turned.

Problem is now the winger turns to get it on his main foot and the cross is always going towards the keeper/defender and away from the striker, ideal for a Crouch but not Saga
