League 1 survival?

If we start on -10 points next season in League 1 (not certin I know) I honestly fear for our survival in that division as we will likely lose the better players in our current squad.

We shouldn't underestimate the quality of teams in League 1 as we underestimated the Championship a few years ago.

IF the club still exists, then next year will be another relegation year. straight down to L2.

Trouble is, even though I have the match on Sky in the other room, I can't bring myself to watch any more.

At least I don't have to suffer abuse from the Northam for having had enough.

But I'll still be there at SMS on Monday.

This is the current first team squad, in which I have highlighted those players that will almost certainly be ditched either due to wages, being on loan, or likely targets for vultures picking over the bones. ( Plus, I can see Perry retiring rather than play in League 1 ).

Davis, Forecast, Poke, Bart

James, Perry, Saejis, Thomas, Lancashire, Kyle Davies, Hatch,

Molyneux, Liptak, Mills, Imudia, Skacel

Surman, Lallana, Spiderman, Gasmi, Holmes, Smith, Mule,

Wotten, Gillett, Thompson, Gobern, Pulis, White

BWP, Saga, McGoldrick, Paterson, McLaggon

Pulis and Gasmi might be needed

After watching such an abjectly poor side on Sky masquerading as Saints, and professional footballers, supposedly, my only thought must be to get rid of all of them and start with a clean sheet entirely next year........pay up their contracts or whatever, but we must rid the club of the cancer that has spread and the total lack of any passion........the blend of players on the pitch just has to be worst Saints side I have ever seen.......

We need a fresh start all through the club. If there is a club, that is. I'm quite looking forward to the comradery of being on -10 and following Saints to the likes of Carlisle, Huddersfield etc. Also, there are some good away days in there. Such as Brizzle Rovers in their new stadium? Leyton Orient, Swindon, Millwall (if they don't go up) Same for MK Dons. Colchester in their new stadium and Southend too.

You forgot Smith...He`s "World Class" don`t you know?

Perhaps Sir Alex was there today watching him and he'll be gone too ?

If Ronaldo eventually goes to Real then it's an automatic 'world class' replacement, no ?

He reminds me of Bambi FFS !!!!

Different ball game in the lower leagues. Success depends more on available wage bugets projected from season ticket sales and estimated gates. Not so much on transfer budgets to buy players (as we wont attract players worth any money in the lower leagues anyway).

Smart freebies and smart loans needed .... so we will need a smart lower league manager who knows where to shop.

I think it's going to be a reality check for most saints fans, and maybe humbeling. Time to give all teams no matter who we play some respect, irrespective of size. And some saints fans need to get into the habit of saying "beaten by the better side" and not "wtf ... blah blah blah ... we are massive" ******s.

Remember it wasn't that long ago Notts County were in the top flight. Proper football fans are grateful to have a club to support.

Thing is there is some talent there, just no belief and no will to fight, maybe a change of manager will sort that, maybe the Dutch Revolution and throwing them in too soon has destroyed the confidence of the youngsters, they were up against it from the start

New manager, new system, new belief, its the only way to go

and this thread really is like death warmed up.

Surely if we get new investors into the club, they will invest some cash into the club and maybe we can get some privy experienced players on board that can help us bounce straight back?

But then again perhaps we should just 'round the club up' as Alpine wishes.

Hmm, this is the crucial word here. Not exactly an attractive investment are we?

Yes, it is an attractive and challenging investment. If anyone who know football saw us conceding two goals in 5 minutes from two corners, they will be amazed. I swear anyone who watch that will be determined to say, "How the **** can they conceded goals like that? I must find a coach to get rid of that kind of madness and tell them how to defend set-pieces."
