Paul Chuckle Posted 29 April, 2009 Share Posted 29 April, 2009 I am fairly confident of a 1st round FA Cup defeat to a non league side. I don't care about cups now anyways. Just wanna get promoted

Rod Le Shearer Posted 29 April, 2009 Share Posted 29 April, 2009 I think we just might beat Bournemouth, and thus be giant killers in the Vans Trophy cup..! or whatever they call that mickey mouse tournament nowadays.

New owner and manager will sort us out I feel. Confident regarding our future. I do recall how people were crowing "we'll walk this league" on relegation from the PL. Well, 3 seasons of 'walking it' and here we are. Even more seasons of fantastic defeats from so called 'lesser teams' too. When are we going to courageously pick up that fork and take a large chunk of humble pie and realise that we are where we are on ability (yes we have a vast catalogue of reasons why we have this level of ability)? A more humble, and respectful of our fellow division members, outlook should be taken. Certainly it would pay us to have reservations about playing in L1 even though we may think there's nothing to fear! **EDIT** This is not necessarily scoring points from you, more a general comment! gjphilsaint Posted 29 April, 2009 Share Posted 29 April, 2009 Yes will be in Round 1 of FA Cup (another low in this clubs history) and probably get beaten by the winners of Hillingdon Borough & Uxbridge Town 4th Round Qualifier replay, in front of a man walking his dog, three wind blown empty packets of crisps and a discarded Mars bar wrapper!! Chez Posted 30 April, 2009 Share Posted 30 April, 2009 all I can thnk of is Leeds losing to Histon live on ITV. The Bristol Rovers defeat was embaressing enough but there is now the potential for even worse.

Ponty Posted 30 April, 2009 Share Posted 30 April, 2009 I can see us at Wembley twice this season, Johnstones Cup and League One play off final !! Ambitious. I think we'll flounder in and around the relegation places most of the season.
brightspark Posted 1 May, 2009 Share Posted 1 May, 2009 One of the cups isn't very entertaining, its like watching paint dry. Anyway, I hope we can win it. A trophy is a trophy even if it is slightly ghey.
Bakovnetski Posted 1 May, 2009 Share Posted 1 May, 2009 More opportunities for Saints to lose to even lower league opposition in front of the TV cameras.
The9 Posted 1 May, 2009 Share Posted 1 May, 2009 More opportunities for Saints to lose to even lower league opposition in front of the TV cameras. Surely just fewer opportunities to be on tv full stop ? Given our usual live tv record, suddenly the Master Plan becomes clear...
