When will the money run out?

It is something we are not privvy to, but the costs of running the Saints must be drawing down on the little we had left. I was always of the view that it would go to the wire but as the hours past with no news i get slightly more concerned at no news of a takeover.

Lets hope Dubai Phil who is flying across now has a Arab investor alongside him to buy us up

3 days is I believe the time elapsed adjusted number quoted, although I'm not sure whether that's 3 working days or not. Sometime next week anyway.

Time for a very black sweepstake. I'll take 8 am Tuesday morning for Saints winding up.

Do we know for certain that Barclays are not giving Mr Fry more of an overdraft to play with?

Seems strange that they should appoint an administrator only to force the club to fold a few weeks later. What do Barclays have to gain through killing SFC, surely it's in everyone's interests to keep the club running until a buyer is found?

There is the issue of the players wages. If I understand the system correctly then the PFA pays the wages of any club that is in administration and unable to guarantee the players will get paid. They are already paying wages at Darlington, Stockport, Chester and Bournemouth http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1165564/Union-pay-players-wages-Darlington-Stockport-Chester-Bournemouth-12-clubs-face-administration.html

Of course Southampton FC isn't in administration, so the PFA aren't paying the wages. But the league has docked us points, so they consider us to be in administration. In which case the PFA would owe us a very handy £130k wouldn't they?

The sooner the money runs out, the sooner we get an eleventh hour deal.

Crouch putting money in to salve his own ego is just slowing everything down.

Just means people can't play. They can't stop clubs doing deals. Never understand why deals are done and ready for jan 1st for instance.

But the season will be over, so the window is open again. Those players just can't take part in the playoffs.

Still, it would be yet another downside to the window if it meant clubs going out of business as they can't sell. Is there an up side to it?

If the club folds then all the players can leave for nothing, that's why it won't fold until the transfer window opens at the earliest. Even then the buying clubs would just wait until the club folded instead of paying fees.

The administrator was appointed by the outgoing SLH board, not by Barclays....

"The Board announces today that it has appointed Mark Fry and David Hudson of Begbies Traynor (South) LLP as joint administrators to the Company."
