Alain Perrin Posted 3 May, 2009 Share Posted 3 May, 2009 Much (unnecessary in my opinion) furore over whether Rupert Lowe is going to Forest today. I think it makes no difference whatsoever to a match day experience but I am prepared to offer this challenge. I will offer a prize to the best photo of Rupert Lowe in the Forest directors box. Personally I believe nobody will see him, but I am prepared to admit I am wrong. Some people seem convinced he will spoil their day out, but I don't believe this. SFC Forever Posted 3 May, 2009 Share Posted 3 May, 2009 Good idea AP Time for all our away fans to sing our Saints songs and roar the team on like never before. Maybe find a song or two that can be altered slightly to let the world know we are always going to support our team and nobody can stop us. Saint Fan CaM Posted 3 May, 2009 Share Posted 3 May, 2009 I find it hard believe that there are fans who are still harping on about Lowe (and that's from someone who detests what the man has done to the club). He is history, but unfortunately his legacy is a business that is about to fold completely. The forum is like a morgue lately - in a way very apt given the lack of takeover. I would have thought a deal would be upon us by now and this surely is the only thing of concern to us.
Mole Posted 3 May, 2009 Share Posted 3 May, 2009 Well i'm in the Forest mainstand. I'm not sure if their directors sit here or in the new side stand. Rest assured if i see him he's gonna get some abuse.
Wes Tender Posted 3 May, 2009 Share Posted 3 May, 2009 So pray tell us Mr Perrin, what exactly is the point of starting an entirely new thread just to decry the furore on the other existing thread? What precisely have you added here that could not have been added to the other thread?

eurosaint Posted 3 May, 2009 Share Posted 3 May, 2009 If he does turn up then he is a very brave (or perhaps very stupid ) man ! He must have seen the advanced publicity and there might well be a nutter out there prepared to do him in !!! Ps. My money is on Stanley

Lowe has ceased to be involved with the club for about three weeks, so can you please tell us when did it become poor form to mention his name. After two weeks, ten days, five working days, two matches, please tell as we on here are obviously confused.
SaintRobbie Posted 3 May, 2009 Share Posted 3 May, 2009 Has someone actually informed the police Lowe is going to attend and the impact that may have on increasing costs of crowd security? Forest are not doing themselves any favours.

I'm also offering ten pound (to charity of their choice) for the first person to spot a Lowe apologist saying 'draw a line underneath Lowe's tenure and move on'. Even though we are going down to the thrid tier for the first time in 49 years with -10 points and possibly further point deductions, with the ownership of the club still unsure, with a slim possibility of liquidation and the bloke still sniffing about. People want to move on or can't believe Lowe is still being harped on about.
Alain Perrin Posted 3 May, 2009 Author Share Posted 3 May, 2009 So pray tell us Mr Perrin, what exactly is the point of starting an entirely new thread just to decry the furore on the other existing thread? What precisely have you added here that could not have been added to the other thread? I wanted to give everyone the opportunity to take part in this exciting competition. I felt if I added it to the 9 pages of pap that make up the other thread people would miss out. Anyone who has been to the city ground will know it is difficult to see the directors box from the away stand, so I think my money is safe. UncleRay Posted 3 May, 2009 Share Posted 3 May, 2009 Just read the thread so sorry no photo! Yes he was there, Managed to get to the edge of the Directors Box. sotonianproud Posted 3 May, 2009 Share Posted 3 May, 2009 Yes he was there, arrived at about 12.15 and he got held up in traffic on his way into the ground right next to me and about 5 other Saints fans dotted about, VW passat (for what it is worth). sotonianproud Posted 3 May, 2009 Share Posted 3 May, 2009 He was abused with 2 chaps making throat slicing signs and a couple spitting on his car(not me, I am female and was with my sons), a couple of Notts Forest fans then told them to leave it as he was only there to watch the game. Leon Crouch and Mark Dennis were also there but in the stands with fans.

Unless he's changed it due to reduced financial circumstances, Lowe's car was a Volkswagon Phaeton. And I hope that we never see it anywhere near St Mary's ever again.
