But the simplest answer is ‘some managers thought 3 at the back would get them better results but player performances, especially in quite important areas like saving shots and shooting at goal, weren’t up to scratch so when we got new personnel, new results and new ways of doing things on the pitch started happening’ Also I’m pretty sure more than one manager has referenced the lack of height in our team as a reason for team selection. Which again changed in January.

I thought this for a long time and still do really, especially the 28 bit BUT I found Matthew Benhams comments recently about Beto quite interesting. Basically saying players who get into positions to score are much more appealing than clinical ones that don't as much. Think Leo would appeal to a lot of like minded recruitment teams in that sense. Presumably given what we spent on him and only being 1 year into a contract we would want a hefty price though so maybe that would be enough to deter onlookers.

You’re not upsetting anyone. Everyone’s laughing at you. Manager criticism is fine, although I would point out that the idea that the thing he didn’t do was the guaranteed way to success is absurd. Players playing badly and the opposition defending well are allowed to happen at and seemingly influence the game much more than tactical plans imo. But anyway, just to reiterate that when it comes to you specifically nobody is upset and everybody thinks you’re a laughable grifter. HTH.
