That’s fair but I do think you change a lot by removing a CB. Build up patterns would change, I don’t think two CB’s allows them to create the angles they currently use to feed the front 3 into feet for example. Same with taking Manning out as well imo but I understand the concerns about him defensively and also the desire to get Charles back in when he’s fit. I’m not convinced by Romeu yet though and nor do I think Bragg would give you that box to box qualities so those plans will have to wait until Charles is back anyway.

Suspect the injury helped most. Did you remind him he was their joint top scorer last season?

Why do you want us to try this out of interest? I know people have an issue with 3 at the back but aren’t these results and performances enough to show that it isn’t the formation that’s the problem? I don’t really understand the desire to ‘experiment’ as you say, just as we’ve picked up some form and fluidity. Call for Manning to be swapped out if you like, but change everyone else’s game too doesn’t seem wise.

Armstrong had evidently received a knock a short time before being taken off, he was struggling but refused treatment to stay on. Leo has been taken off a few times around that hour mark, I think that’s clearly a belief in the club he wouldn’t make it through so many minutes in a week with that intensity.

Whatever happened then, and neither me or you know, he was back in the team very quickly with the same manager declaring the issue over. The abuse / writing off he’s received has been unjust.

The very definition of a player who needs a run of games to get rhythm but there’s no way he deserves that here. Uncomfortable with the talk about his attitude though, it’s lazy. He’s clearly just lost all rhythm and his qualities do not lend themselves to being a sub at all 🤣

Yeah I had massive doubts that he would find the motivation again this season. Fair fucks to him though, he’s an excellent driving force at the club.

That said, you’re right I’m very happy to call out fans on here when they post nonsense. But when the tone of your post is we shouldn’t continue with the guy who has just lost 1 game, then I am going to respond by pointing out the simple fact that would be the 6th person in charge in a year and that doesn’t seem like normal logic or club behaviour. There isn't a manager good enough for us. We've just won 4 in a row then lost 1 and people are disappointed the manager is not being replaced. You'd do well to find a manager able to keep up to that demand.

Winning games at this club, with this team, in this season, against these opponents is not the way to convince these fans that you can win games at this club, in this season, against these opponents. The only way to convince people you can actually do that is to have done it elsewhere, with someone elses club, a different group of players, against ideally the same opponents and in other seasons and then dress it up as "experience".

Would love to know the metrics that have led you to that conclusion.

Winning 4 out of 5 games is not a healthy place to be. The latest not so good game is the only one we should judge him by. Only getting the job by default and not the actual good work you’ve done to improve from the ‘Still-Esque’ performance. Imagine being this miserable in life ffs 🤣 I swear people like you actually dislike it when we win games.
