I will never not find it baffling that quite a lot of people actually believe this guy is unsellable and key to our season. 3 good games?
-
This is also the most difficult role when up against deep and compact defences. Think September could be a good month for him based on more open games.
-
Love the imagination on those signings.
-
And yet somehow, CB’s aside, our squad is stronger than it was. Mainly because it’s been been coached properly.

‘Everybody knows it’s bid day yes!? Is Outlook definitely working? Send another test email just to be sure. We all know our roles when it comes in right? We practised this. Did we definitely turn off read receipts? Test that again too’
-
Why are you not okay with Drameh having a bad game but on another thread you're trying to convince people Che Adams is worth keeping?
-
"Braced for a bid" btw...what even is that kind of reporting? Weren't Aberdeen also braced for a bid a few days ago? We're in peoples heads without doing anything. The thirst for links is so desperate that it leads to this kind of reporting. Being seen to be active in the market is a victory in itself. Such weird times.

I'm not sure. They signed Kabore quite early on from City. Wonder if Drameh wanted to give it a crack at Leeds before making a decision and Luton wanted an early signing so decided not to wait.
-
Yeah he's been highly rated for a while and has proven himself at this level. No idea why Leeds don't fancy him but they have a weird obsession over Luke Ayling.
-
Alcaraz had a piss poor 60 minutes on Saturday, you writing him off based on his current form as well?
-
He's got a whole body of evidence about him you could look at but if you want to be lazy and go for his most recent twenty minute spell then good for you.
-
Two very different players. The very little I saw of Drameh last season reminded me of Tino a little bit, aggressive defending 1 on 1 and an athlete.
-
Why? They've been Lutons first choice RB's the past two seasons. No reason why they aren't good enough for us. Not sure Bree fully suits the style but ability wise they are more than capable at this level.
-
Fraser joined Newcastle pre Saudi takeover though so I don't think it would be that high.
-
I don't think our fans doubted JWP was any of those things did they? That's exactly how I would describe him and I was quite happy he left. It's a decent start on paper but it's two results against the run of play for West Ham. High conversion rates and very little possession don't last long. The moment those little things don't fall for them then the comments will be worth a revisit. But it's also a massive LOL moment at the likes of Blackmore who seemed hell bent on telling him he'd regret this move.
-
Two completely different CB's of course but you know better.

Lots of bed wetting. Not much focus on the fact that the team that starts tomorrow will be good enough to get us out of this league, and will have a good bench. More players will leave, some will come in, we’ll be very competitive. It’s okay to relax. Nice to have new players, team, vibe and hope. Wish more would leave.

Good fee for someone who has had maybe 5 good games for us?
-
Everyone who thinks we should keep Adams because we’ve dropped down a league will be delighted with Holgate and Fraser, right?
-
I said it before but Martin went out of his way to talk up Armstrong and his qualities being like Piroe nearly a month ago now. He's not a similar player to Che Adams at all and so I don't think we've ever been interested in having Piroe and Armstrong. You wouldn't talk up Armstrongs qualities like that only to bring in the person you've compared him to. Was never realistically on the cards for me. Need a different striker if Che goes. Just to be clear I like Che, his attitude and application seem great. Clearly a good bloke too. No agenda or issue with him personally and yeah, I even think he’s an asset to us in this league or even in the PL. But he’s been underwhelming goal scoring wise, he’s a symbol of our decline over a few years now and he’s had zero interest in signing a new contract for us until possibly this window is over and he’s not gone anywhere. I don’t think he’s irreplaceable, I’ve seen the best of him and it’s fine at best in terms of being a target man but he’s had his chance of scoring regular goals for us and he’s not done it, I don’t think we should be missing out on getting £10m plus for him and I do think we should be targeting a new striker as we should have done for the last 2 years. I find the fact that he’s been part of a team that’s dragged us down to the Championship and then been given unsellable status amongst fans absolutely nuts. Loads of people have scored 20 plus goals in this league. It’s not an impossible task to find someone who can do it and we should aspire to be better than what we currently have at all times. If we can’t find a 20 plus goal scorer then that’s an issue with our team not selling Che.
-
Btw, even amongst the people who think he’s prime Pele, it’s the people like this who think he should be grateful for staying with us and should cast aside any ambition he has of playing at the top level if given the opportunity, that come across as the biggest fools of the lot.
-
We have a new recruitment team. If it was the same debacle as last year maybe I wouldn’t but the positive reset off the pitch should be allowed to provide one on the pitch. And striker is the one position we’ve demanded better from for 2/3 years now. Don’t see why having dragged us to a lower level we should suddenly be grateful for what we’ve got.
-
3 goals in 3 games does not mean you’re prime Pele. Nor does 3 further seasons in this league and only hitting double figures once.
-
We’ve just got relegated mate. A whole bunch of employees lost their job and you’re suggesting one on the pitch gets a pay rise.
