  1. If we're not pressed we choose to move the ball so slowly. It means to create a chance we need to complete about 30 passes which we cant do.
  2. Azaz made that goal. Could be the difference, so deserves more respect.
  3. Tbf we've shown some bottle and don't seem to be shrinking which was a concern beforehand
  4. We need to start winning the 50/50's again.
  5. Tbf they seem as bad as us
  6. So very dull. Aimless boring passing, but if we do try something more ambitious the pass is poor or the player cant hold it. Archer seems far too lightweight and Manning is incapable of doing anything other than the very very basics.
  7. Tonda getting grief but when he won 4 out of 5 the vast majority were saying he should get the job. In fact demanding it. Those people all deny it now.
  8. They get the ball at the back, wrong press. We get it and theyre all over us. Also why is a defender taking goal kicks and playing them in to the 6 yard box to bazunu who gets pressurised. Absolute suicide, I was coached not to do that at the age of 8. Unbelievable.
  9. This isn't a step in the right direction. It might have been had they been a top 10 side, but it's another promoted side at home. We won't get many better chances and again we failed. These games are absolutely critical.
  10. Not scapegoating him. Its just the annoying narrative that just because he comes out and admits we're crap, somehow he's a great captain.
  11. Looking forward to brave Jack facing the media saying we weren't good enough and it's unacceptable. Then people saying he's a great captain and how much he loves the club ffs.
  12. The lack of balls in this team is incredible. We go in front in a game and then we shrink and become totally passive.
  13. Didn't get out to the wide man, and no effort to stop the cross. Their striker fell over and still had time to get up. Pathetic defending.
  14. Clinton Morrison on sky just sad we are 'very predictable and not really good enough. But then that's Russell Martins style'. Ouch! Bit harsh...
  15. When we're on the front foot we looked good, but passing it around at the back we looked increasingly jittery. Bazunu in particular looks like he's trying to present them with a goal. We have to take back control and keep the ball better or its a matter of time til they score.
  16. Every game u listen to on solent, Jo Tessem says 'we just don't move the ball quickly enough' and yet every week we do exactly the same. Meanwhile Ipswich are playing with pace at home and went 2 up in 15 minutes.
  17. Let's face it, our tactics are basically negative. More interested in passing than scoring. Martin thinks he knows something the rest of the league don't. Meanwhile the best teams play at a higher speed and score goals.
  18. Every time we can go wide we play it back inside where it's congested. And everything we can ho forward into space, we turn and pass back into our back four. It's absolutely baffling because it puts us under so much pressure.
  19. We just give them so much time on the ball. If they get another I can see the confidence drain out of us.
  20. Defending is utterly embarrassing. Bednarek scuffs a clearance from which they should score again. What the hell have they been doing all week.
  21. Sunderland have the freedom of the park in midfield. Acres of space. We look totally disorganised.
  22. Can't see St Mary's tolerating this walking pace football for long
  23. You know you're bad when even the other teams at the bottom seem to walk through you easily.
  24. What does running the streets mean? For those of us not down with the kids.....
  25. Jones was a dreadful appointment but at least I could see the thought process. SR thought they could see something in him that no one else saw. OK, they got that totally wrong, and fairly quickly they ditched him. For me Selles was the really stupid decision. Pretty much every team at the bottom who sack their manager goes for someone with experience. Dyche, Big Sam, Roy etc etc. But not us, oh no. We again think we can buck the trend by appointing a man who was not, and never had been a manager. So zero experience. Even then I remember a lot of fans who were delighted because he said a few good things about togetherness and he wore a suit. Pretty quickly it became clear that he has no real idea and is out of his depth. The only thing I'll say is that we could appoint Pep and even he can't do anything about our players who just can't finish any chances. Selles might be a good manager eventually but to put him into this situation was a ridiculous decision.
