After re-watching the Bentford game, and yesI know its a friendly only, I think Stephens/Yoshida will be fine once we get Bertrand and Cedric back there too. Most of the issues seemed to be because of Pied and Bednarek, who I thought were both pretty shaky.
-
VVD is a unique talent. Stephens looked good and seems to be coming along well, he has a good future. I wouldn't have any reservations starting him, but would expect some growing pains especially early in the season. I think he'd be a solid, but unspectacular, cb this season, with his best days ahead of him.

I like this too, or something like it. I want to see us try to use Gabbi and Austin together. This would give us our highest scoring potential. Plus I think they are different players. Austin is more physical, better in the air, and holds things up better. Gabbi is faster, quicker, and can stretch a D better.

You can sign 2 but have to release 4 - Who goes?

Austin has to play, he's the best scorer we have. He and Gabbi will be a good duo. Both can get 15-20 in a full season. -
We are pressing more, thats for certain. St Gallen have made a few mistakes due to being rushed.
-
Works for me
-
St Gallen certainly seems very "grabby" out there.
-
LOL, yes it was

Not crazy about the numbers/font on the back of our jerseys. I don't mind the stripes setup.
-
I'd go with a 4-3-3 Forster Cedric, Yoshida, VVD, Bertrand Davis, Tadic, Romeu Gabbi, Austin, Redmond

Good for both sides. Jay gets another shot in the PL, and we open a spot for Gallagher. Previous years aside, I believe Gallagher can equal or beat JayRod's production in 2017.

Sky Sports - No 'top' players leaving Southampton this summer.

+1. Most fans would kill to be in the same place as us. -
I could live with Pellegrino or Martinez. Didn't realize Martinez Belgium squad has scored 24 goals and given up 2 so far.
-
I think we should brace ourselves and prepare for Martinez, IMO he is a real possibility. PL experience, some success, plus remember one knock on Puel were his boring tactics. So when you look to fix that, you look for a style the opposite.

In these dire of times there is only one hero who can come in and save us. Yes, its time for the return of Harry Redknapp.
-
I don't know, I am leaning towards Giggs. After looking at the mentioned candidates none of them impress me. Rather than signing another retread that has failed much more than succeeded, why not take a chance at someone new? At least he still knows what it feels like to win.

Bring back Koeman!
-
West Brom would be a good landing place for him. I hope he does well. I definitely think he needs a change of scenery, everyone does once and a while.
-
It was a joke about monopoly. Why believe unnamed sources and writers and not his wife? How does that make sense? Also if he did cheat do you really think she would go on Facebook to post it, and at the beginning of a vacation with him? It makes no sense.
-
I mean most here completely disregard transfer rumours, but a poorly written scandal article out of nowhere then sure, it must be true.
-
I can't believe people actually believe what they read. Since when is the media truthful.
-
Tadic is a pretty good player, I'm not sure why you'd want to sell him. Who replaces him, Boufal? What has he shown he can do. Just keep Tadic away from penalties.

Puel Sacked? - As Reported by Crook of Sh*t

If I was Puel I'd have taken the ASSE job and told Les to stick it. -

Really strange why Puel didn't take the ASSE job. He must have known this was coming. -
Seems odd that he would turn down the ASSE job if he was truly getting sacked from here. That would be a very good landing place for him.
