Social media is pathetic. Cheating at monopoly. Why bother talking about it, and why does the internet jump all over it.

Welcome Sir Patrick Stewart, Dr Xavier and Captain of the Starship Enterprise.

Firing a manager for finishing 8th in the PL is just silly. If I were another manager it would seriously make me reconsider coming here. I mean what is the goal here if it's not to finish top 10?
-
I think we need to go two upfront with Gabbi and Austin. They complement each other, and are the only two guys who can reliably score.
-
Didn't mean form, should have said in shape. This is because he's been practicing so I assume he's getting his legs back. Form is definitely a different thing, and who knows.
-
I think Austin will get good playing time in this one. He's getting back in form and didn't play vs ManU. Gabbi went 60+ minutes, JRod played 30 or so, and Long is hurt. Austin and Redmond to score, 2-1 Saints.
-
Puel in for me. Lost the best defender, traded teh second best defender away, and lost the top scorer, yet we will finish in 8th and almost win a Cup. Not sure how anyone could ask more of him.

I never want to hear anyone complaining about Austin scoring some of his goals via penalty shots again. -
And we steam roll into 8th!

Manipulating numbers is fun. We are 9-4-6 vs the teams not in the top 6 who are staying up (31 pts for those math impaired). We also have 4 pts vs #3 Liverpool this season. So it seems to me we are doing fairly well against anyone not named Manchester*, Chelsea, Spurs, or Arsenal. We have 4 pts or more against Watford, Leicester, Bournemouth, and hopefully Stoke (plus L'pool of course). Sounds pretty good.

Regardless if Austin threw the ball into the net with his hands, I don't think we should be moving on from any player who had 9 goals in 20 matches (or whatever it is). The guy has scored 18 gaols in the PL, and is the only guy along with Gabbi who seem to know how to score (which is the main thing a striker should do). He and Gabbi upfront, bring in another player or two to back them up.

The system needs to be fit to the players we have, not visa versa. Austin, Gabbi, Tadic, and Redmond need to be on the pitch most matches. Obviously also Bertrand, VVD, and Yoshida in the back. So pick a system that supports this.
-
Conversely, Big Sam comes in and not only gets CP out of relegation, but they may end up at 40 pts or more.
-
What a dud he's been the last two weeks, when it counted the most. They've lost 6-0 to two teams fighting for relegation along with them. Puel would be crucified if he did that. He was lucky to tie us also. So it should have been 0-7 in 3 games.
-
We're in 9th place. Say all you want but there are only 8 teams in the U.K. that wouldn't trade places with us. I think Puel certainly deserves to stay. My only backing off on this opinion is if the players are go to management and request his removal. Then I would change my mind.

It still blows my mind that our two leadings scorers only played 1/2 a season each (Austin the first half and Gabbi the second). If you sit back and think about it, that says a lot more about the other strikers we have than it does about Gabbi and Austin. Those two were just doing what they were supposed to do.
-
Can't believe people want to get rid of our leading scorer this season (as disappointing as that is). Austin needs to stay with Gabbi, both guys have proven they can be goal scorers in the PL. Austin moves very well on his runs, when the ball is in the air, etc. He is not a player that should be out on the wing.
-
Long was good, but I'm really starting to think he should be some kind of outside player, not an upfront striker. His pace really works there, and his finishing really doesn't work in the middle. I'd like him as a backup player for us next year. I think a two upfront with Gabbi and Austin next year could work. Austin is the middle presence and Gabbi is running off him. Austin collects garbage, handles headers, holds up the ball, etc. Gabbi runs off him, getting into space. This could give the defenders fits.

Big big win by Swansea. Could be over tomorrow.
-
Long seems to get banged up on every possession.
-
J-Rod is gone. He's got what, 2 goals this season in the PL, and he doesn't want to be here. One goal against a relegated team doesn't change things. Long may go too but we'll see. I would actually try and keep Long, I like him as a sub and a bench player.

We are coasting to an easy 2-0/3-0 win.

2-0 Swansea. Hull is in big trouble.
