They let him stay just long enough to assure we're as good as relegated. No point getting a firefighter manager now, we should be taking our time on this one. I'd be in favour of seeing our next permanent manager taking charge from June. It would feel more like a clean slate rather than having the manager we got relegated with. As we know, these days, a managers early impression sets the tone for the rest of their tenure and we know this team lacks the quality and experience to perform at this level.

This is a big problem. If we can't get our most promising academy players to sign professional contracts with us, it raises some serious questions about the viability of us having an academy. It costs a fortune to maintain a category 1 academy and we've not been reaping many benefits these past few years. On another note, will we lose our category 1 academy status when we get relegated?

Goalkeeper was another key position they failed us on I agree.

Might as well save the cash for our promotion push next season. Sport Republic have royally fucked up not getting a striker in the summer. Too late to save us now.
