FWIW the ridiculous conspiracy-defending threads were about the only cack outside the Nutjob thread I've bothered reading away from the Main Bored. Why he used such a flattering pic of Granty, God knows.
-
If I had to write something quick to keep thousands of annoying people happy AND also had to write something to put on my identity details like passport and driving license I'm pretty sure I'd use two different signatures...
-
Ah yeah, that was the +/- article that shows how essential Schneiderlin is to us and how gash Yoshida (and Mane?!?!) are.
-
By not giving a tangible fock.

Lets all be glad that adidas didn't have the chance to add some "design" to the Saints shirt if this is their best idea: if ever there was a design that didn't need revamping, it was this:
-
Just as well - though that is what they usually foist on the end-of-season St Mary's matches.
-
He's a massive bellend, what do you expect?
-
Erm, that's not even remotely large in the current sizings. He'd need at least a 6XL in the current shirt - (a 4XL in real life).
-
Complaining about someone pretending to be intellectual and spelling pseudo incorrectly is possibly the cleverest joke I've ever seen. Well done.
-
He's said that before every election.

I don't disagree with that stuff, I'm just pointing out that their trophies in the past 15 years aren't a patch on what they were the 15 years before that, so that's clearly a decline. It's still relatively better than Saints effort of FA Cup, League One, ZDS Cup and Championship Runners-Up, and JPT winners, but at this juncture that's equally as irrelevant.
-
It's the US choosing to regulate anything remotely impacting on its shores - whether that's use of a US ISP or dollar currency. There are also few other single-state organisations with the funding and political will to be able to conduct such an in-depth and ongoing investigation. Oh, and they of course lost the 2018/2022 bid due to alleged corruption, which I'm sure doesn't hurt.
-
How about you try comparing what they won in 1976-85, 86-95, 96-05 and 06-15 before you start telling us how they're not in decline?
-
They've also misprinted a load of dates on a t-shirt, which probably explains why they're only £4.

New shirts on pre-order at £40. http://www.sportsdirect.com/football-shirts/football-league-football-shirts/portsmouth-football-shirts Now two years ago they were (lying but) saying their shirts were the cheapest in the Football League (Newport's at £34.95 were 4p cheaper, but then that was only team in that division I even checked). That was meant to be as a result of being fan owned and fan friendly - so what can we assume from the five quid price hike? Last season's away and third kits still available in S, M, L, XL, 2XL despite only being £15. Highly amusingly last season's socks are £3 "This season's" socks are £5 I wonder if anyone will notice?
-
They seem to try to sell an awfully large percentage of them at £5 if I remember this time last year.
-
That's true. Well, the first bit. I'm not sure whether the second bit is a big determinant in recruiting new fans with little connection to the club when there are newer shinier more successful versions around. Mind you, what do I know? When Newport went bankrupt and I had the chance to pick any club in the world to support and a place to move to for University I chose Ian Branfoot's Southampton.
-
I can also see that Liverpool's market share is sliding compared to City and Chelsea globally - but really, why would anyone want to support them internationally in 2015 compared to 1990? They're not a top 4 club, but their legacy is a much bigger fanbase than Saints and it'll take some time to overhaul that if we keep finishing below them.
-
Pretty much only with 3 centre backs for most of the season after they found Lovren and Skrtel didn't talk to each other. Clyne's a natural replacement for that Skate Johnson, better player as well. Of course, £10m is £10m more than we'd get next season, but joining anyone outside the top 4 is a money move not a career move, irrespective of how successful or not Liverpool are likely to be going forward. Then again, if you always lose your better players you're never going to achieve anything either. We might be better off hanging onto him til Jan when teams are more desperate and we might still get the same fee. Though that could depend on whether he's cup-tied for Europe or not. Which could also be a driver in him staying, of course.

I'm glad you think it's a hard skill, personally I found it a piece of p155. The number of times he was clean through and rolled it at the keeper without even getting close to passing it into the corner with pace and curve in his early days suggested he wasn't going to learn anything, but he definitely changed how he dealt with those situations.
-
I wouldn't say "flap", but he did pass a large number directly at the keeper, and pretty weakly.
-
You'd best make sure they know where you want it added, or you might just make thing's wor'se.

Interesting stats comparing saints this season and last season
The9 replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
Actually they're stats that don't count for anything unless you ignore the 104 years of Football League history prior to the Premier League. -
I completely agree on the hard working front as a general concept - completely fail to understand how some players (and I don't mean Pelle) get away just standing around waiting for certain movement triggers when they could be creating more opportunities by pressing. It's not just about pressing either, just moving around and making it much more difficult for defences to organise generally. All pros should be fit enough to operate at the required level for 95 minutes. I understand that pressing alone is futile, but closing down even the top players in numbers does produce results, and for every Balotelli there's a Suarez bombing about the place, closing down, moving all over and still being able to score shedloads of goals. It's not JUST about running around, but doing it when there's a tangible benefit should be essential to the overall benefit. The only reason I can think of for NOT working flat out in every game is the likelihood of cumulative fatigue and injury, but I think Burnley's "highest workrate, lowest number of players used" example this season shows that's a fallacy - plus we're recording player levels and should be able to pick those issues up with the science.
