Quite. Especially when there is no Stoke shirt that looks quite like this, even though it's a bit lacking in black... again. Anyway, I like it.

It's their 2012/13 kit, for the record. I'm surprised we haven't gone with a black collar or at least an element of black on the collar, but we don't seem to be very big on the black bits any more. Also haven't seen the back yet, Juventus have a panel but the stripes are narrower and it's a different template, hopefully we'll do an Athletic Bilbao and have stripes in League and panel only if needed in Europe.

Because they have a fixed number of pieces within that process and there are a finite number of combinations. They go to a lot of trouble to make sure the top sides get something you can't just slap a badge on from teamwear. In this case their "lot of trouble" involves a round collar.

Well Warrior are now New Balance and I haven't seen them produce a decent shirt yet. I think the sponsor looks much better than when it's been on a panel.

I like to do both.

It's way too low though, dunno why Adidas keep doing that.

The closest Stoke kit is this one, which has a white stripe in the middle and a load of white on the sleeves. All the other designs aren't even close to this. Well, there's the year after's, but that's got a collar and white bits on the sleeves too.

Shorts are black, though the away shorts are navy with green trim if you want to mix and match...

Because they don't have to make that design work for 100 other clubs as well?

It's red and white stripes with Adidas on it, what are you expecting?

The one main difference between the leak and the actual shirt is the badge being located lower down and on the red stripe not across two stripes. I suspect that the smaller shirts will have all kinds of weirdness with the outside white lines being cut off by the red side panel due to the shape of the front piece, so they've noticeably gone with a larger shirt to ensure that doesn't happen in the marketing.

It looks like a Stoke kit from about 3 years ago, or it would if it didn't come with completely different coloured shorts and socks. Which obviously means it'll look completely different. Stoke's current kit is Warrior and next season it's New Balance so little chance of their designs being like ours.

Several templates would be suggested, but only one gets drawn up and leaked with the actual kit info next to it...

Apart from different collar, different cuffs, different shaped shoulder piece, different shaped sleeve piece, different underarm, different colour Adidas logo, different shaped front piece, different badge, different sponsor, no white tape around the bottom of the shirt and different fit, it's identical.

Judging by the "noise" on the home pic that made me think the collar had mesh on it when I doesn't, I'm going to retract that tartan pattern comment, it'll just be more bog standard Adidas without anything interesting.

Different collar. Plain white (I was sure there was some detailing in the pic) "halo" instead of v-neck. Yeesh.

Loads of little jokes to make you watch it again and again, just like Phoenix Nights. Little subtle things like calling Ted's replacement, "Ted 2" in the titles, and what did he call him in the last episode?

I'd get his name on a shirt, and I NEVER get names on shirts.

You'd be surprised how many people only "like Saints" but would only buy a shirt if it happened to be there - especially as we've built up YEARS of the shirts not being readily available. Of course the problem with SportsDirect is that some of the money goes to Mike Ashley, not to mention they're in bed with the Skates for as long as they're wearing Sondico.

Yeah, summer of '92. I was thinking he might have hung around for some of 92/93 but knew he was gone pre-Pony tick in 93/94.

Disappointingly my graduation in '94 and playing Saturdays regularly means I never saw him play live.
