Alan Green is just a miserable sod though, always trying to put a downer on everything. He probably thinks we got him on loan or something.
  2. Only to the extent that if Man U win, Arsenal are 6 points behind City with 2 games to play and a 12 goal deficit in Goal Difference, and United can't catch City anyway, so City would be safe in 2nd when they play us.
  3. As it stands at the moment Arsenal would need to overturn a 12 goal deficit on City by beating Sunderland and West Brom, with City having to lose to us as well. And Arsenal have a Cup Final the week after, and no qualification incentive for Europe as they'll go into the group stages of Champions League whether 2nd or 3rd.
  4. As it stands at the moment Arsenal would need to overturn a 12 goal deficit on City's Goal Difference to come 2nd. With them having Sunderland midweek and West Brom at home next weekend it's not impossible, but it's not very likely either, especially as there's no difference in what you get for coming 2nd or 3rd in terms of Champions League qualification.
  5. Well then you wouldn't have to read any bold orange text. Except for people sodding about with you of course.
  6. I have no recollection of this incident.
  7. Also Crabby, you're less wrong on this one than you are on Forster, if that's any help?
  8. Nah, it was Cortese's PA I think. I may be misremembering.
  9. Nobody else has ever mentioned it. You should block B Rabbit if it bothers you that much, he never does any different.
  10. He loves a leap out of the dug out, fists out in front, does Sammy Lee.
  11. Yup.
  12. Fleetwood Town. The last time they DIDN'T improve on their League position of the year before was 2001/2 when they finished 14th in the North West Counties Division One after coming 5th in 2000/2001. They were still called Fleetwood Freeport then... Since their name change to Fleetwood Town they've come 2002/03 10th in North West Counties Division One Div 1 2003/04 3rd in North West Counties Division One Div1 2004/05 1st in North West Counties Division One Div 1 (Promoted) 2005/06 2nd in Northern Premier League Div 1 (Promoted) 2006/07 8th in Northern Premier League Premier Division 2007/08 1st in Northern Premier League Premier Division (Promoted) 2008/09 8th in Conference North 2009/10 2nd in Conference North (Promoted) 2010/11 5th in Conference 2011/12 1st in Conference (Promoted) 2012/13 13th in League Two 2013/14 4th in League Two (Promoted) 2014/15 10th in League One. That's going to take some beating.
  13. No, because Arsenal could catch City, they have THREE matches left (and 11 goals over 3 results isn't that big anyway).
  14. That'll be that then. Saints guaranteed their highest ever Prem finish unless Swansea score 3 in 3 minutes (and only we do that).
  15. City winning this would mean if Man U beat Arsenal City are guaranteed 2nd and won't be playing for anything against us.
  16. Well there have been two from Joe Hart in the last 5 minutes that would be worth including...
  17. Or scores three goals more quickly.
  18. Worldnet is ALWAYS the weekend of our best preseason friendly!

I'm sure MLG will have some idea about the accuracy of that contract clause...
  20. Imagine how mental we'd have gone if they did what Nike have with Barcelona next season and put them in HOOPS. Then we could be "like Doncaster" or "like Granada"...
  21. How is it awful, it's just stripes with Adidas stripes. Uninspiring maybe, but there's nothing actually bad about it.
  22. Not true, if City win and Arsenal get a point Arsenal are within 6 points of City with 2 to play as they've got Sunderland midweek. However if City win Swansea can't catch us, and if United beat Arsenal as well, they can't catch City and nor then can Arsenal. So we want City and United wins today. Though I'd swap that for Saints, Everton, Palace and Stoke wins next weekend.
  23. As noted, effort is the difference. (And Villa defending with a ridiculous high line and making loads of errors).
  24. Then people would complain it looked like Stoke... Oh wait.
  25. Niemi was a top class keeper and watched more than his fair share that he clearly wasn't getting near. Gazzaniga's best game for Saints by a million miles and great to see his improvement translating into the first team. For the first time he looks like he might have potential after all.
