The left back isn't to blame for the centre back not being tight enough to his man to put a challenge in before the opponent shoots.
-
His biggest weaknesses are stepping forward to try and win balls he's never going to get and going under headers. He managed 90 minutes without doing the latter on Saturday, unfortunately he cost us 2 points with the former. Not sure why the Kelvin hate, if I'd been done at the near post as often as him I'd be showing the striker across me from that position as well. Maybe it's not a near post thing, maybe it's a right side thing? Simple facts are that with Forster and either Wanyama or Schneiderlin missing we don't have a strong enough midfield OR defence to beat a top half side because whilst Alderweireld is a superb centre back, he's not anything like as good as our two DM starters in that role, and it weakens the defence as well. Our first eleven is top 4, our squad is top 7.

I'm still not sure whether we're actually able to play him or not. He's not named on the Saints Player List with the Premier League after the last Transfer Window which would usually prevent him playing, but we have 5 empty slots in the 25 man squad into which we are permitted to add out of contract players - he's already registered with Saints and the "season long loan" only applies to Bournemouth's season length, so theoretically we could play him provided the Premier League committee approves it. Whether we should actually pick him or not is an entirely different matter to whether we can.

Which one were you? I was the bloke on the sidelines in the Saints adidas training top taking photos and videos of the ringer-assisted hilarity. -

Is he trying to sell orange t-shirts too? -
Nor witty, clever or incisive for that matter.
-
We had one in 2012-ish as part of the Liebherr Trophy triangular tournament.
-
Not him, Gardos, Stephens, Turnbull, Wood, Hooiveld, McCarthy or any of the other non-Belgians.
-
Um, if we qualify for the Europa we'll be right past the first 2 rounds of the League Cup without playing, so they'll have to win 2 matches in either cup contest to draw us.
-
Would be a huge loss if he went, yet no-one anywhere suggesting it.

Victor Wanyama tells The Sun that Arsenal want to sign him

Glad someone appreciated it, anyway. -
We're about 10 titles short.
-
For me that lasted until I saw him kick a ball.

Well, it beats Illingsworth getting himself in there. I get on with both of them, I just think Granty actually talks something not resembling b0llocks more often.
-
Only for non-football fans who are also complete focking idiots. Clickbait to make people feel good about themselves.

Not even our best centre back.

Funnily enough all my recollections of that day disappeared at midnight 10 years ago.

I'd been to the Blackburn game the week before when we rolled over 3-0 and the Boro away game 2 weeks before that when we somehow won 3-1, but I was on a stag do in Amsterdam for this one. The ex was at the match and texting me score updates as it was the only Prem game not on Dutch tv that day, and at 2-0 I knew every subsequent vibration was going to be bad news. Still don't think I've actually watched it. We had SO many chances to get out of it that year. As an aside, when Crouch went to the corner flag to kill time at Stoke last weekend I practically went ballistic.

22/22 but if you'd asked me what Richard Edghill and Scott Fitzgerald looked like I'd have had problems.
-
Even if I wasn't still in denial about it ever happening (never mind being there) I'd like to think we wouldn't even mention it if it was the other way around - though in the back of my head I may recall a "3-0 and Premier League top 4" thread back in December 2013...

Victor Wanyama tells The Sun that Arsenal want to sign him
The9 replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Brendan Rodgers would tell you that was his excellent system (and they did something similar the week after, but haven't done since, which almost supports his claim - but that could also be because they don't have Sturridge fit again). Are we the only team that's had to face Liverpool with Sturridge TWICE in the league this season? -

If someone could tell me where Wanyama gets his hair cut and get me a bottle of Lambrini, I could probably get to the bottom of this in about 20 minutes. -
I think it works either way around 28_F. There's both the Lallana/Lambert/Shaw precedent and the Smalling/Jones/Wes Brown one.
-
FWIW I can't see there being more than one goal.
-
Might as well gamble on him for this one, seeing as Wanyama will be back the match after and we can get away without Tobes as long as Vic and Morgs are on guard in front.
