His absence is part of the reason one of our defensive midfielders isn't further up the pitch posing the opposing defence problems.

    Quite.
  3. None-too-dissimilar away shirt style (without sash, white instead of navy trim, round neck not v-neck):
  4. Socks are not the easiest to see, but likely to be either one or the other style shown here but with contrast turnovers:
  5. Just so it doesn't fall too far down the page...
  6. Here's a closer look at the style of the shorts anyway, not surprised to see it's the same as this:
  7. One of the reasons I'm suspicious about the Seattle link's legitimacy is the shade of green... Sounders are a much more bright green. The older kit losers like me will remember a similar Arsenal away from the early 80s back when clubs just didn't consider changing the shirt for marketing reasons, and pretty much everyone in red had a yellow away kit. Even this having a green collar the same as the body of the kit caused moaning back then.
  8. With this design if we get into Europe we will need to have "modified" home shirts though...
  9. Well, to be fair that was a legit shirt sample leaked the night before the actual kit release and would take some beating!
  10. If it's not genuine, someone has gone to a lot of effort to copy the adidas blank design template used in the Premier League handbook kit sections in recent years, fill it in with Saints designs based on already-known 2015/16 templates as seen on various leaked club designs and in MLS, including drawings of 3 keeper's shirts which no-one really cares about, and then print it out into a style that looks like a buyer's catalogue for a sports retailer (as I've seen some years ago) with all the size charts next to it, and leaked it. Or more likely, that's a buyer's catalogue or some other retail information. Which might suggest that we're going to be selling outside the club shops too. Or might be me jumping to conclusions. Either way, the footyheadlines full size shirt pics are directly created from those leaks using 2015/16 template styles, based on the Football Manager template shape which is pretty standard for kit photoshoppery. They've been lazy with recreating the home collar though, as you can't quite make out the detail in the pic - but it's not plain white, f'sure. I am 99.9% sure that the catalogue and the designs are legit, or it's a bloody impressively detailed hoax.
  11. Though they have got the collar wrong compared to the leak.
  12. Footy headlines have slapped them into Photoshop using the existing 2015/16 templates.
  13. Well, we can close this thread now, designs leaked and nothing else to discuss. FWIW they look completely legit, I like them, I have no idea why people are moaning that a red and white striped Adidas kit looks like another red and white striped Adidas kit, of course it does, a bit, but it isn't exactly the same... Away kit is different, bound to have alternate green shorts too. North American company in green and navy ehhh? Xbox seems too obvious and the shirt too dark.
  14. So they could sell an additional set of kit and make more money. Your point is fair that they won't do it (Adidas probably wouldn't have any to do it with) but I happen to like this year's styles. The 2015/16 training stuff is already out there though.
  15. Not only that, it would completely change the nature of the game by adding half an hour more playing time, and games would last about an hour longer to ensure that 90 minutes playing time actually happened. TV companies wouldn't stand for it...
  16. We played in the UEFA Cup in 2003, as well as in the early 80s.
  17. Spurs are out of Europe. Only FA Cup teams (Arsenal/Man U, Liverpool) and the top 2 in Champions League (and City won't be for long) other than Prem games now.
  18. It could be 1st July like it has been for the past few years, but fairly sure as there's no "brand" involved, there's nothing stopping them selling adidas stuff now other than the desire to flog the old stock. I went in and bought 5 shirts and a pair of shorts on the weekend. I'd actually be pretty keen on them launching some of THIS year's adidas stock with Saints logos on so there's something to buy over the summer, then next season's 2 ranges of stuff once the season's under way and the team is wearing it.
  19. If we win the 6 matches against the bottom 7, beat Stoke at theirs, and Spurs at home, we'll be in the top 4 no matter what happens against Chelsea or City. No foregone conclusion, but certainly possible. No sneaking up on the blindside, we have the easiest run of fixtures remaining. Even if we lose at Chelsea, which I expect us to, we'll still be in a very good position with most of the other sides playing each other.
  20. Well that's just silly. Koeman's going to Barca if he's going anywhere. And City are clearly chasing Simeone.
  21. Yes, no, not really given the timing and his clearly changed priorities and not now, no. Also, the thread title made me think he was dead, not impressed with that.
  22. I've been slightly worried about the dangerous sports aspect of this, haven't they all got clauses in their contracts specifically prohibiting exactly this kind of thing? Not to mention the bloody coaches veering up and down icy precipices to and from the airport.
  23. Actually actually, it was a Russian stereotype years ago, long before the foreign spelling police decided to use "sky" not "ski" for Russians, and "skiy" for Ukrainians, who were also "Russians", i. e. Soviets, back then. So Chelski is perfectly reasonable based on an outdated Russian naming convention, which is appropriate for a joke that's nearly as dated as calling people sheep****gers.
  24. Yeah yeah... I'll believe it when they start hyping up the 130th Anniversary with a load of sash pics the week before they start the kit reveal.
  25. Alderweireld by an absolute bloody mile, look at our form without him. Fonte has done well, but he's not even in the same stratosphere as Tobes. As for Yoshida being "unsung", people haven't stopped going on about him for the past few weeks! As a noted Bertrand sceptic, he's been superb too.
