That was in response to someone else saying something like "with a sort of V with bits of stripes underneath", I think. Still primarily red though.

Can't say I like the training kit. Quite like the design, don't like the choice of colours for the white/yellow, and the grey on the Saints badge looks awful. The grey/yellow looks better, and definitely goes with the rest of the training kit better too, but still not a fan. I'd probably buy one if it was a tenner though, and it won't be... at least until April 2015. FWIW, having now had a better look at the gallery on the OS, I don't think it's the same design as the one I found on the KUKRI site, and the markings on the white socks are just lines not a brand name. That would explain why I couldn't find design matches for the training kit or sock styles.

Betting on Hakan Sukur as top scorer in 2002 was pretty silly - Turkey got to the semis, and I'd spotted they had an easy run - but they were in Brazil's group and every win Turkey racked up, Brazil won by more. In addition, Sukur had a personal nightmare and got dropped for Ilhan Mansiz, and failed to score until the 3rd/4th place match, when he buried one in the first 15 seconds of the match. Mind you, he was 40/1. Also, I rushed to the bookies just prior to the kick off of North Korea v Portugal in 2010 to get a bet on "no goalscorer" at 9/1 after the North Koreans' decent losing performance against Brazil. Put the bet on, started watching the match seconds later, there was a deluge, which always leads to goals and Portugal scored in the first minute or so. Portugal won 7-0 I think. I bet on the Dutch to win HT and FT against Andorra in WC Qualifying on Betfair at 1,000/1 - the long odds being because there was only about 30 seconds of the first half left and it was still 0-0. That was a very quick way to lose a fiver, and it might even have been the case that it was ALREADY HT when I placed the bet. I also had a bet on Mix Diskerud to score at any time for the US last night at about 14/1, even though he hadn't been used at all in the tournament so far. In my defence, he came on and played quite a few of their pre-tournament games and made a good impact.

This is starting to have a couple of meanings:
-
Very true.
-
I gave it 10/10.
-
Can we get the thread renamed? Suggestions appreciated, I like "The Lallana Depreciation Thread". The meaning isn't quite right, but he's certainly got less value to me now. He must be pretty peed off that Shaw went for more though.
-
It'll be interesting to see how the facts of what has actually been said compare to those of the widely derided Kevin Phillips, who pretty much said nothing bad when leaving as we got relegated after being dropped for the last match and still gets battered. I find myself believing the Lallana stories though.
-
Nope! Reflected my feelings nicely, that's all. 10/10.
-
Quite nicely worded. Probably worth revisiting the past tense he used in his speech at the End of Season Awards too...
-
As far as I'm concerned, they did exactly the right thing - announced he had left to the fans. No more, no less. Plaudits for departing players are for people who go out of their way to be good to the club, not jump ship at the first opportunity. None of us would begrudge Lambert his move, plus it was a decent deal for us. The others, nothing more to say. Also worth pointing out that Lallana has moved "to win trophies". In the last 8 years Saints have one JPT and Liverpool one League Cup.

Can't even find anything on their website, they seem pretty local to Kent.
-
Mmm, having looked, I'm pretty sure even my old Sunday side wouldn't be seen in a Jacetts kit, so we can probably rule them out...
-
Well Sondico make the current Skate kit and they ARE in bed with Mike Ashley, so that's not happening, they're not stupid enough to pay a direct rival (I mean SportsDirect, not whatstheirname). Jacetts might be an option - but pretty sure the likes of ProStar make their own, similar for Jakko, Legea, Joma etc.
-
Me too, despite it being supposedly poorly made, low quality, etc. It looks nice, it's unique but not an ugly design and most importantly, it looks like a Saints kit. They've also come a long way from the cheesegrater material of the 1970s (or even the dodgy weave pattern of the 1991 home shirt or the flame shirts). To be honest I don't think there's much difference in the quality of the Nike/adidas stuff and the rest of it in terms of replicas. My adidas shorts last season came unstitched around the waistband, none of the own made stuff did that. However, the Umbro away shorts we had in the sash season were a ridiculous shape, always sliding down at the back of the waist, and every bit as bad as the (actually pretty decent quality otherwise) "nose-breaker", or the not-quite-long-enough long sleeve on the all yellow away or white/grey flybe shirts. The blue away relegation season is an excellent kit by any measure. Anyway, players who get precious about their kit are mostly being primadonnas, provided it's not causing actual injury or discomfort it's really not their problem, and I couldn't care less about fitted kit, I think that fitted shirts look pretty silly with baggy shorts.

Lallana completes move to LFC for a fee of around £25m

Earth to ART. -
As opposed to the shirts by adidas, which we were told a day or so ago had to be privately tailored by the club and were a contributory factor to Cortese cancelling the contract?
-
Keep looking for something similar, but they have a lot of (generic) designs. Can see the tracksuits aren't the same from the pic above though. Just attempted detective work really - anyone got any other crappo brands? Samurai, that's another one.
-
This is the Kukri Kimmer, with the V (as you can see)...
-
Not sure about that, the colour scheme is horrible though, and the best pics we have are of the coaches, not the players, you'd expect those to be pretty dubious fits!
-
Oh God. There's a "sublimated reversible shirt" called the Walter with hoops and a flash in the top half, I really hope it's not that.
-
It doesn't, really. Was rummaging around the KUKRI site for something that has a "V with stripes under", but though the "Kimmer" has a V, and there are a few designs with stripes, I can't see one with both. So could be they don't have the template we're having, or the design is none of them. Also can't find the same style sock as worn in grey/yellow, but there are quite a few designs with multiple colourways, so I may have missed it. Pretty sure that training kit is right though, the low white training socks may even have KUKRI logos on.
-
Ha, found a training top called the "Yarra" on the KUKRI site to design your own training kit which seems to match the design. See if this link works. http://www.kukrikitdesigner.co.uk/displayCustomerDesign?selectedDesignTemplateId=14345&selectedTeamColours=false,false,false,false,false,&selectedPrimaryLogoId=undefined&selectedSecondaryLogoId=undefined

Hm, Wycombe away was "Kukri", but is a different style altogether. The Saints stuff is actually gradated hoops.
-
I see an SFC on the training sock. I would also think the kits will have the same style sock, though whether that's a white sock with black turnover on the home kit remains to be seen. I've seen those gradated Barcelona Nike-ripoff shirts somewhere else, going to have a look around to see if I can track down a brand that's used them. Pretty sure Wycombe had an away kit like that last season...
