  1. ...by which time they'll all be used to it, and no-one will say a word in a year's time. Just like if we're in red again this season everyone who isn't bothered will say "oh well it's just like last year's, what's the problem?".
  2. I'd be gambling on it being perspective and a bit of camera lens warping as the near "half" looks much bigger than the far half as well, my question is why they haven't taken the (obviously narrow nevertheless) pitch an extra yard on each side when there is clearly room for it.
  3. This is correct. Same goes for betting companies. Not sure about tampon companies.
  4. Oooh, Portsmouth (and Oxford, less amusingly) ?
  5. Suspect I'd be at that one as well, being confused.
  6. If you're coming too, I'll drive, as the Golf Cart does not have sufficient Lung capacity. You have to realise that unless you actually pitch up at my house with kit, we will assume you're not turning up.
  7. Rabbit has confirmed, inasmuch as he said "Padu ?" to me a few mins ago and offered to drive the Golf Cart up there. I'll find out at 5-a-side on Monday if I'm fit enough to play. Shotgun bagsie number 9, anyway.
  8. Just checked, was 8, now 7, someone agreed with me on something kit related the other day so I've un-ignored. Windmill Arm 2 is on there, fwiw.
  9. Fair point, I didn't HAVE to, but I tend to check the ones in and around my posts just in case they're in response.
  10. Dunno, ignoring the obvious "not 9" joke, I'm quite selective, you have to be a massive annoying bell-end over quite some time to make the list. Eg neither you nor The Bear were on it, and nor is Turkish or hypo, or even Barry (he's next, I reckon). However, any one-topic WUM like Alpine, Dalek or Glasgow, or a hugely delusional mentalist spouting utter drivel like ART, you'd better believe it. Alpine's actually made it twice, he got all reasonable for about 4 posts and I made the mistake of giving him the benefit of the doubt, but noooooo, couldn't help himself. I am aware that no-one else gives a toss who I'm ignoring, btw, but I'll answer a direct question.
  11. Well that's fcking preposterous, what about kicking the massive tax-dodging corporations a bit ?
  12. You missed "states opinion as fact", "issues short statements to supposedly end discussions without supporting evidence" and "posts telling people they shouldn't be interested in the thread topic".
  13. Genius marketing, obviously. Like selling off the yellow shirt cheap last summer then realising we'd need a third kit this season which in the end we wore about three times as often as the away kit and not actually making it available for anyone to buy this season. They haven't dropped the price of the white kit either, despite it selling (apparently), remarkably few units. Though they have sold out of the white socks, which suggests low stock levels on those.
  14. Explains why Puncheon's got a bottle in pic 54 then.
  15. Though admittedly there are a fair few Grey Goose bottles as "awards" in various photos... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/gallery-2012-13-official-player-awards-823116.aspx
  16. According to the OS, the Player Awards were (primarily) sponsored by Eterna ? http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/official-player-awards-dinner-777751.aspx
  17. Just Hull and Sunderland for me, the only two I've got left. Will probably do Cardiff so I can visit relatives, and prob Arsenal (was a laugh last year), Spurs, Fulham and whichever ones the wife hasn't already done. Newcastle was a good laugh so that's a maybe (same story with Manchester and Merseyside though). Next season I may end up watching more Newport away games than Saints ones, with Portsmouth and Oxford relatively nearby and a pile of L2 grounds I haven't been to.
  18. Interesting, I was going to check the Prem rules for alcohol shirt sponsorship, but Everton having had Chang Beer (and Liverpool's previous with Carlsberg) indicates it's allowable. Premier League memo to parliamentary select committee here from 2009 about it : http://www.parliament.the-stationery-office.com/pa/cm200910/cmselect/cmhealth/151/151we46.htm
  19. You're not the only one. Though I think it's a tossup between plain red and that dreary white thing reposted above. Everything's relative though, it all beats a RedBull rebrand.
  20. I readily admit I haven't been reading any of the detail of the Woolwich murder, but what has that got to do with internet access and housing benefit ? Usually this kind of thing is a Trojan for invasive and restrictive anti-civil rights legislation (possible for the internet regulations), but these seem to be more welfare restrictions ?
  21. To be honest, if there's one sponsor that would give me cause for concern, it's Red Bull. Pretty much every other sponsorship you can accept will be just having the name on the shirts, and maybe some tie-ins to give benefits for fans. Only one company (since Talbot in the 1980s, anyway) has tried to completely take over the identity of numerous clubs to further its branding. Unless anyone can think of any other examples ?
  22. To think I had to click "Show Post" and waste a second of my life reading this.
