  1. Yes, but that was already known to be corporate branding and came along after we already knew what the kit was going to look like last year, this apparently random use of the gold badge has started from the end of the last season, is in line with the rumours already doing the rounds and has also appeared on the adidas ads when there would be no reason not to use the normal Saints badge otherwise.
  2. As a noted Cardiff City hater, I am LMAO right now. That is truly awful, the two shades of red and white don't go well at all.
  3. Nice recap of the thread so far there... now if someone could just relink the Itchen_Dan mock ups, the people who just noticed we were getting a new kit 700 posts later will be up to speed. PS You left out the Marseilles "Jeans" one, and the Chelsea and Bayern and Stoke kits, and that Hearts shirt is an old template.
  4. I'm not going to pitch up down there on the off-chance, so it's perfectly valid.
  5. If it's plain red with white shoulder stripes you're after... no trefoil though, adidas refuse to use it on football kits now for some reason.
  6. I see Pocket-Lint is reporting that Amazon Germany accidentally posted up an XBOX One price, which was the Euro equivalent of £510 : http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/121315-xbox-one-price-revealed-on-amazon-germany-510-for-next-gen-console
  7. Is this the place to point out that Tommy Forecast is playing a division about Portsmouth ?

I think my favourite bit was that by this time we were up to post 600-ish on the Kit Speculation Thread and no-one had even mentioned anyone but adidas for about 3 months.
  9. It's just something someone casually mentioned, apropos of nothing, but I know someone who knows someone who's said "all red, no stripes (except the adidas ones), and the white "arrow" was mentioned by someone who presumably hadn't seen that two adidas templates this year have "triangle" shaped underarm pieces. Ajax home isn't released yet, there's a Portland Timbers MLS adidas shirt that looks like a reverse Patrick Rank Xerox, but we're not having that. Get on the pointless thread to see where we're up to with the speculation !

Just thought I'd choose now to bump this, for some reason...
  12. Anyone who hasn't voted yet ? I see the adidas "all in" announcement has used plain red with 3 white stripes...
  13. No, it's the amount I definitely DID spend on kits in previous seasons. This season I bought the home shirt from a mate for £30, as he won it in a competition and already had one, and haven't bought anything else. Last season I bought full home and away kits (including the alternative socks on the yellow kit), the season before I bought the sash, shorts, socks and full black away kit, the season before that the entire charcoal away, the season before that the entire navy/yellow away and the whole Umbro striped home. So, no, it hasn't cost them a penny, other than the 5 pieces of kit I definitely would have bought normally (plus random ad hoc trips in to pick up the odd bit of training kit). Basically what they've managed to do is lose my goodwill, and take me out of the routine of dropping by to see if there's anything worth getting, and that's worth more than they're ever getting back from car park fees from me.
  14. Yeah, the only problem with that is that the style above is not possible from the way the kit template pieces are laid out. There's no "piece" to go under the armpit arrow bit, the shirt wraps around from the back, so unless the front is red and the back is white, you can't actually do the design.
  15. See post #84. It's Estudiantes, btw.
  16. Yes, yes they would. That black with gold panel pretty much confirms what we've been discussing on the Pointless Kit Thread for months. It appears the home kit will be plain red with some white under the arms, the away black with gold in a similar design (and probably using the monochrome gold badge design on the away kit). Let's just say I like the sound of the away kit.
  17. They've already signed a 25-year old ex-Charlton (reserves) keeper who was on loan at bottom but 3 AFC Wimbledon last season, so I'm guessing he's the starter. They also have a 38 year old who didn't play for them last season either. 46 career appearances in 8 years, 4 loan clubs, 2 free transfers. 5 appearances for Charlton in 2011 the peak of his footballing career so far. It's quite refreshing really.
  18. We'll see if they're wannabes or not in the next couple of months... though the adidas thing has come from a few decent sources and a couple of people have said "plain red" and "black away" independently - we'll see if they were just copying others. Oh, and I know a bloke who's spoken to one of the players and HE said there are "no stripes".
  19. What, the red adidas teamwear looking one ? It's going to be something like that if certain rumours have any validity.
  20. Pretty much agreed on that, I'm still protesting the car park charge by never using the car park at the stadium, so far it's cost them about £130 in kit purchases that I haven't made, that also being a tacit protest against the pointless white kit as well, not that they know about it of course.
  21. Must have been on there for a while now, WSC had it on their weekly Friday email a couple of months ago, they usually manage to find a bit of Wiki-vandalism to report on...
  22. One of the reasons why I started the "Preferred Kit Poll" thread, to get a feel for whether people genuinely want Saints in stripes or not. About 63% pro-stripes at the moment. The Pointless Kit Thread has a bit of a discussion about whether people are bothered enough to DO anything about it, long and short of it seems to be "not really other than not buying it" so far. When it comes down to it, the (likely) adidas change will probably rope enough people in and after that, who knows. One thing's for sure, the argument that "we look like Sunderland and Stoke" looks pretty stupid when we're choosing to look like Liverpool, Man U, Cardiff and Arsenal instead.
  23. I have already directly responded to The Turk regarding this subject, which should buy me some time.
  24. I prefer the use of Ignore to glancing at their drivel and being briefly annoyed at myself for reading it, that way it gives me more time to spend on the rest of SaintsWeb ignoring people.
