  1. There was a Liverpool for Palestine banner and a Saints Against Apartheid one. I shoved a leaflet in my pocket, haven't looked at it yet though.
  2. Your sources are rubbish. I went straight to the ticket booth in the terminal which I recognised from a photo online (not from that video), where an elderly black gentleman who didn't have a hint of a Czech accent clarified in perfect English that the tickets were only valid once stamped by the machine, so yes, of course I could buy two 24 hour tickets for me and the wife and just keep the second pair until 24 hours later. So didn't have to buy separate tickets for the bus, and just used the 24 hour ones.
  3. I'm not going to entertain the guessing game after this one, but no.
  4. Overall, Cedric's the better player. I'm just pointing out that Cedric has his defensive problems just as Cuco has his attacking ones.
  5. I'm surprised by this. Does no-one remember Rickie Lambert not being on the away kit advert? Suffice to say it was a well-known media source talking to a friend of mine in Prague.
  6. The FFP administrators may think that £100m isn't a realistic sponsorship value. Which it isn't.
  7. I heard from a very VERY reliable source that it was dead in the water as the Chinese don't have the money.
  8. Perhaps we shouldn't just ignore the forum rules when someone feels like it? Or are we going to move the thread about the Terrorist Attacks, Donald Trump and Jimmy Savile onto the Main Board too, because, you know, they're tragic things that happened to people who go to football. Incidentally, it is perfectly possible to have deep empathy with those affected and think people on here are lazy tossers at the same time. Anyway, for the lazies, here's the original thread, posted 3 hours before this one. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?57505-Chapecoense-team-plane-crash#.WD3MiPmLTIU
  9. It's on The Lounge, which is where it's meant to be. But yeah, all that stuff.

Davis' illness was the only reason he started on Sunday, but given the need to share time with 2 more games this week I'd probably expect him to start on Wednesday so Davis is available for the league.
  11. He also got turned inside out a couple of times for crosses through the 6 yard box to no-one. He doesn't have any defensive positioning does he? Usually in the other team's half?
  12. It's such a load of toss. Blackpool have been in the Premier League, Championship AND League One more recently than Portsmouth, and have one of the most well-known FA Cup wins of the 20th century, have a similar capacity of around 18,000, a much more modern ground and better facilities, and poached a manager (Michael Appleton) from the Skates only 4 years ago. You don't find any of them rambling on about how difficult it is to play there or the "weight of expectation". Of course, they only get 3,000 fans, so we all know who to blame.
  13. It's all of 10 weeks since I've been to Arsenal too.
  14. Hardly. What it's shown is that Martina isn't as good going forward, especially when he's been told to keep possession - which we already knew. Cedric was hardly auspicious defensively on the weekend and Everton created a fair few chances and put in some dangerous crosses, considering how little ball they actually had in our half overall.
  15. Absolutely tragic and shocking for a number of reasons, especially to football fans who've just been travelling to a continental cup competition themselves. But not Saints related and there's already a thread in The Lounge.
  16. Even Targett only got a look in at the start of the season because Bertrand was injured, Cuco was gash at left back in pre-season, and we hadn't signed Van Dijk at that point so Yoshida was played at CB and not free to play LB.
  17. The point was I'm not surprised it hasn't sold out, I'm not going and I've been going to all kinds of stuff this season.
  18. For one game, then ignored, a la Gape.
  19. "Dreadful Oct/Nov run": DWLDWLWLDLW. Yeah, "dreadful". Four defeats in eleven, three of which were away, including 2 away in Europe, and to leaders Chelsea at home. Not to mention not losing to the teams in 2nd away or 3rd, or the reigning Champions away, and beating Inter. "Dreadful".
  20. Fewest change for ages precisely because we haven't had any away European games to consider in the 6 matches since 20th October.
  21. The goal is to get out of the group, not to win every match. With one game to go we need to win at home (or draw 0-0) against a team who couldn't beat us even in their own stadium where they've never lost, and we've won every home group game so far. In addition to that, we're still in every competition we've entered.
  22. He could now.
  23. When he stops leaning back to see where it's going before he finishes striking it.
  24. As Kante proved in the summer, players aren't going to stay with teams that win things if they can get paid lots of money instead. The fact that the rules prevent us from paying the same kind of sums as the "top" clubs doesn't help.
  25. And still does.
