I don't see anything wrong with nicking and converting songs from other clubs, especially European ones that don't get a wide audience. Better to be imaginative about it though, once everyone's doing it, it's a bit pointless. FWIW we nicked Crystal Palace's Andy Johnson song for Dexter Blackstock (and basically every other player we can't be bothered to give a proper song to since, currently Puncheon and Chaplow), so they're as good as any.

Frankly it's nicely set up for us to draw them in the FA Cup with them as a League One side (if they're lucky, they'll have to still exist and win two cup matches to get to us first). With us in the Prem it'll be the expected 4 goal thrashing at Fratton (if they're lucky they've still got a ground) which they thoroughly deserve as payback for the FA Cup reversal. Then all we have to do is win an FA Cup and forget to pay anyone for anything, blah blah. I don't want them to be in the same league as us again to have the chance to pay back the 4-1 at Fratton, to be honest. I quite like the idea of us reverting to them being an occasional annoyance that's nowhere near our level, much better than actually having to play them,

I'd take issue that Hull are the "definition of nothing to play for" when they're currently 4 points outside the playoff places, just beat the team in 8th and their mos influential player has just come back from injury. They're also a whole point behind Leicester, who you described as "might be fighting for the playoffs".

There are a number of El-Abd specials of this nature, he did it in the FA Cup against Newcastle too, though it didn't work on that occasion.

For WH to win 2 more than us and GD to work in their favour, each win or defeat swing would have to be on average by 2 goals. We don't have to be playing badly to lose, but we have to be playing pretty badly to regularly lose by 2 goals three times (and West Ham still have to find a 7 goal swing on their side even then).

I'd say we need 3 wins from 4 matches to guarantee the title provided one of them is against Reading (as the difference is already +10 and it's extremely unlikely they will be able to catch up that swing in GD in one match). So we get 9 points to get to 91, but as we beat them, Reading can only get 91.

Hull have had a lot of injuries, mainly at the back, which has disrupted their ability to defend - they weren't leaking many when they were fixed with Mannone, Dawson, Chester, Hobbs, Rosenior. They also lost Koren for a month and he takes most of their set pieces. Koren was back today, though they're still having to play Liam Cooper who has 6 Championship appearances, ever. Besides, the point was that Coventry hadn't won away all season. They have, on 31 March against Hull. Whether Hull have gone on holiday or got injuries doesn't matter, they still lost at home to Coventry.

Actually I think he IS going to be one of our signings - fits the bill perfectly, we can outbid Swansea for wages and he's shown a tendency for a gamble having played for Reading, Hoffenheim and Swansea. He's only on loan, and if Hoffenheim haven't given them a loan to buy option then there's absolutely no reason we can't sign him. Yes other clubs will be interested, but so what ? We've obviously got the money to pursue our CL ambitions based on what's happened so far with Cortese. Then we can start spelling Sigurdsson correctly.

Yesterday I actually thought Leicester would go up, they've been on a hell of a run and are playing well. But I've just checked to make sure that they're not on that run of crappy opponents everyone has had this season, and actually they are, and have not beaten anyone of note. So they'll probably either stall in a couple of games and just miss out, or just hit the wall of playing a decent side in the playoffs. I'd quite like them to beat West Ham on the way for lolz though.
