  1. No, that's sad.

    Two more wins

I've also decided I'd like us to win the Championship. It happened around May 2005 IIRC.
  3. Yes, I also was definitely not yelling my lungs out for 98 minutes.
  4. It would be nice for the national media to see what a bunch of cnvts Poyet's lot are, so I wouldn't be entirely anti-, but I'd much rather see them left in our dust.
  5. Also worth noting that Brighton haven't lost at home yet this year.
  6. Coventry have been doing pretty well recently, albeit mostly at home. Still, unless they're playing to stay up, we should be able to deal with them.
  7. Ferguson's interview on Sky earlier seemed to indicate he has basically given up for the season, he was sighing, shrugging and doleful all over the place.
  8. They took 3 from us.
  9. Dammit, you beat me to it. However, I would like it known I'm not in favour of any kind of fan-based stadium expansion plans. We should allow the club to plan the structure of the stadium.
  10. Though not actually true. It would be the same as the Plymouth match, we'd be up all but mathematically, with goal difference being the maths issue. However, bearing in mind that our GD would have to be a minimum of 13 goals better if those results happened, West Ham would have to overturn that 13 goal deficit in just 3 matches. That's averaging 3 two goal defeats for us and 3 two goal wins for them, and even then they're still only level with us on GD ! If they stuck 6 on someone they'd still need a 2 goal difference in their favour in one of the other 5 matches.
  11. He's sort of right, it's about not finishing as low as second.
  12. As we can't finish lower than third, yes.
  13. Not mathematically, as there would still be the chance of them overturning a 13+ goal difference swing (which would be possible if still a little unlikely if we lost 3 and they won 3).
  14. I think they're a bunch of cheating, diving cnvts, and I want them to be at their very best at it for the next week or so, before hilariously missing out on the playoffs. As a pointer, if it was between them and Cardiff for a playoff place I'd probably want Cardiff to get it.
  15. Lambert scores a lot of headers for a creative midfielder. We do need someone who accentuates his skillset though. Or someone who gives us an alternative.
  16. The concept of "midfield hardman" disappeared about 15 years ago, along with the tackle from behind, etc. The last thing we need is some thug who can't pass getting sent off every week.
  17. We had a female physio when Poortvliet took over, saw her at Winchester City on the day we played both Basingstoke and Winchester. Think I have a photo somewhere. Yup. Apart from her being fit, the most striking thing about her to me was that her boots were 10 years out of date.
  18. You stole that from my Facebook status, you f'cker!

  20. If he's injured it'll be a bit of a shame, he's been bloody awful for them recently.
  21. IIRC you're allowed 5 in a season (plus additional "youth loans"), but only 2 from any one club, and you can only put 4 in any one squad. From memory though so might have misremembered - they had Mattock and Thorne (twice) from West Brom, which was a bit sneaky because it was 3 loans but only 2 players. Anyway, the loan window is closed, hence the two kids (Scapuzzi and Rekik) who they hadn't put on the bench until the loan window closed suddenly stepping up into the full squad now they have no other option - until that point those two players didn't count against their total squad and they could have played the "not enough players" card to get any transfer embargo waived. FWIW when Thorne went off injured against Burnley and Scapuzzi came on in the 81st minute the score was 1-3, it finished 1-5...
  22. The trophy itself is still on display in the foyer near the Players' Entrance though, which is nice.
  23. I'm pretty sure Carroll is faster, and he'll still be playing in 10 years' time.
  24. Olympic Torch in Southampton on 14th July follows this route : http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/bsp/hi/pdfs/19_03_12_day57_bournemouth_southampton.pdf Leaves the ferry terminal at 17:41 so will be at St Mary's around 6pm. What we don't know is when the match will be played on that day - could be a 4pm kick off and come around after the match, could be a 5pm kick off and happen at half time or could come around before an evening kick off. 17:41 : Southampton ferry forecourt Day 57 Southampton Bugle St 57 Southampton Bugle St - Right Turn 57 Southampton Hamtun St - Right Turn 57 Southampton Castle Way - Veer Left 57 Southampton West St - Left Turn 57 Southampton High St 57 Southampton Above Bar Street 57 Southampton Above Bar Street - Right Turn 57 Southampton New Rd - Right Turn 57 Southampton Palmerston Road 57 Southampton Palmerston Road - Left Turn 57 Southampton Houndwell Place - Right Turn 57 Southampton A33 Evans St - Left Turn 57 Southampton St Mary's St - Veer Right 57 Southampton Chapel Rd 57 Southampton Chapel Rd - Left Turn 57 Southampton Granville Street - Left Turn 57 Southampton Stanford Street - Veer Right 57 Southampton Malborough Street 57 Southampton St Mary's Stadium Entrance 57 Southampton Pitch Side - Right Turn 57 Southampton Pitch Side - Right Turn 57 Southampton Pitch Side - Right Turn 57 Southampton Pitch Side - Left Turn 57 Southampton St Mary's Stadium Entrance - Left Turn 57 Southampton Car park - Right Turn 57 Southampton Marine Parade 57 Southampton Marine Parade - Right Turn 57 Southampton Chapel Road 57 Southampton Chapel Road - Left Turn http://l2012.cm/FPJdEA if you want to see it in map form. 25. Richardson cuts through dead balls with his laces (he even does it for slow moving balls, whilst he sidefoots faster moving balls which whip in), so his corners would float much worse than Lallana's. Also, we have enough problems with fullbacks getting caught upfield as it is.
