  1. Added this to bookmarks, bound to come in handy in future "debates" on here...
  2. Some very nice diagrams to illustrate some fairly obvious points that have actually been argued by some on here : The one about revenue decline shows the lack of significance of matchday revenue compared to tv in the Prem (under the less valuable than now tv deal from 2005) quite nicely : and this turnover v wages diagram illustrates the impact of chasing promotion under Wilde/Burley quite nicely...
  3. It says there that Save Our Saints raised £130k. Pretty good going, in isolation...
  4. That's "did" well, not "done" well, you thick feck.
  5. I would imagine they have their eyes on the £30-£90m (don't start that again) prize of Prem football to cover the costs of their splurging, even if that, er, was the division that got them in the shart in the first place.
  6. Or, having seen the twitter conversation posted.... "Lolz at idiots who can't read".
  7. 持って行った is one of the most annoying phrases used on this forum. Is it coincidence that those last characters look a little like "SFC"?
  8. Yeah, it was a Scotts in one place record for me (ignoring school assemblies). Interesting to note that my fitness is even worse now than it was the last time and I've basically kicked a ball twice since early October, both in the last fortnight. Luckily I've had 10 years of decline to build my immobile striker's game, and we already beat them once this season anyway.
  9. Honestly, I couldn't care less about wearing one, I've owned plenty of other clubs' shirts for various reasons - but if anyone wants to give me money to do it, a million would be a good starting point. Come to think of it, there's even a Photoshopped pic on my Facebook wall of me wearing a Skate shirt, but that was in response to my mocked-up replacement Saints v Leeds programme which had me on the cover instead of Cortese...
  10. Yeah, it's not an IFC squad without too many Scotts nowadays... PS Steve, it's "Leathem", and it's pronounced like "lea"-f then "thumb". I remember this distinctly from a random Santos training session last season.
  11. I don't think it's got anything to do with "Apple's power", if supporting Flash was a sustainable market position the likes of Samsung wouldn't have announced they were abandoning it as well - it's just because of HTML5 meaning Flash basically isn't needed.

I happen to think getting the person's name right is a rather important element of respecting their memory.
  13. Lolz at transparent unsettling attempt.
  14. I'm surprised he didn't just refer them to his chairman, he deals with all that, f'sure.
  15. One of the main things I was concerned about when we signed up Adkins was that he was unproven in the Prem (as that was the stated goal), and I wondered how he'd be able to attract players of that standard when we got there. So far he's done brilliantly with the players he's got, but it hasn't exactly dispelled the concerns when our best signings have been two loan-to-buys and a bloke he already managed, and one of the biggest flops is also one of his "exes", as it were. Having said that, we're going to get linked with his ex-players whether he's interested in them or not, so I'm not taking that as any kind of indicator of his intent. The signing of Tadanari Lee at least shows we're prepared to strike outside the "former players" comfort zone, though it's obviously far too soon to judge that one ! As it happens I think £5m for Hooper is silly money and I doubt we'd pay it. From rumours in previous windows we seem to have at least 4 serious options for every position we're looking at, and some of them are completely unknown until we sign them. I doubt Maynard's completely off the radar as he's not signing a new contract...
  16. It's so incredibly sad and desperate. I wonder what else she does for a few quid.
  17. I don't think I'd mind Matty signing my prosthetic ar5e.
  18. I had assumed this would be a video of Gus Poyet.
  19. Spooky.
  20. In completely unrelated news, I see Steve Cook was transferred from BHA to AFCB at some point in the recent past.
  21. I haven't seen one yet, and they're all significantly more based in reality than most of your made-up nonsense.
  22. Now Anthony PULIS is someone I'd seriously consider taking career advice from. Never has so much been earned with so little. Aside from Jade Goody and Jordan...

Thanks to the misuse of the apostrophe, you managed to spell the name wrong of the person for whom you seem to care so much. His name is not Kevin William. Disrespectful ? e-Petitions are a waste of time anyway.
  24. I could see Puncheon being a big success at Celtic, that's where I'd be sending him - keep him away from any Championship sides we haven't played twice yet (or put it in the contract that he can't play against us in the season when we sell him, it's been done before). Bottom half Prem takers seem limited at best, he won't sign for a lower league team. Celtic could work, if we're really in for Hooper (who I'm not sure is worth near £6m based on his previous record, but at least Adkins knows his ability and temperament).
  25. I don't think I'd be taking career advice from Anthony Stokes - but it does give you some kind of indication of the level of the Scottish Premier League at the moment.
