*I* didn't, actually. But I was going to get it at some point if only to add to the collection so it was either pay full price now or sit it out til April, and it looks like I might be going to a few aways conpared to last season, why not? It's alright, nothing to get excited about bit equally nothing outright offensive about it.
  2. He was at one point, yes.

Just for a laugh, probably worth mentioning that I now own the yellow shirt. Got a short sleeve as the LS ones aren't in yet. Still majorly "meh" about it, but quite enjoyed the game of "beat the clock" endured to get the transaction done and out of the car park in time. Shop was completely empty, staff were idling like they got commission for making people wait and it STILL took 12 minutes. So, in a Turkish stylee, thanks to Super Nicky C for enhancing my enjoyment of purchasing something in the Megastore by making it so bloody impossible to casually browse and consider buying anything else, but the excitement of getting out of there for free and sticking one up the petty rulemakers was great. And yeah, I am aware that I just gave them £42 for the privilege. Well, the wife did.
  4. Just you and your obsession with turning everyone gay, as usual.
  5. No, and I'd say based on the latest updates that he's not going to. Much as people want to take apart rumours on here, there's been a fairly credible timeline and a variety of reasonable (if French language) media sources advancing the story, mostly corroborated by a few Saints fans with a bit of input here and there about his medical and leaving the country.
  6. "Good post"? It describes former African Champions Cup winners and regular Champions League participants Esperance as his "small hometown club", FFS. They've been one of the biggest clubs in Africa for about 30 years.
  7. But you just said we'd never met?
  8. Narcolepsy isn't temporary, tsk.
  9. It's being doing that for at least 10 months, I was in my old office last time I tried to print a receipt off and had that happen, and we moved in October.
  10. Cor, you are so hard and I am massively impressed. Will you sign my shirt ?
  11. When are you having Christmas then ? New Year's Day ?
  12. He may look thinner, but he certainly doesn't look agile, pacy or energetic, based on his appearance against West Brom. Richardson looks slimmer and more muscular, as well as sharper and more creative. And while I'm on the subject, Guly looks like he's been working on his shoulders - or maybe it's just the new shirts...

Nah, none of them are .
  14. As an "outsider" I can confirm that I've had more abuse from drivers of cars in my rare visits to Portsmouth (from people pulling out in front of me across the give way line on roundabouts, not being prepared to wait 10 seconds for me to finish driving down a single track road I was 3/4 of the way along before they even pitched up at the end of, etc) than I have in getting on for 9 years living in Southampton and driving around there every day. So basically they mostly seem to be lairy ar5eholes. I know a few from working in Titchfield and they were all alright though.
  15. I once bumped into a bloke wearing a Beattie 9 2001-3 shirt in the Tredegar Arms Pub in Bassaleg near Newport circa 2003, you know, when we were good and had a catchment area that included Bristol and South Wales, as we were the nearest Prem club (give or take 10 miles, and who was counting Villa or West Brom?).

Actually I've been told yellow doesn't suit me.

You wouldn't catch me wearing a football shirt when not going to a match or training or just slobbing about the house, if it makes you feel better. Definitely not for "casually out and about being seen in public on non-match days" wear.

It's a boring kit, and the white socks turn the whole thing into an ultra-lame failed Brazil homage.

Weird. I like the constituent parts even though they are a bit plain, but this season as part of the two kits we appear to have the choice of purchasing what basically amounts to plain black shorts, a plain yellow shirt, plain blue shorts and plain white socks. We look like a low rent Brazil ripoff which is a style that's been completely flogged to death by uninspired teams everywhere, and you can't even mix and match the home and away pieces, which will make for some ugly away combinations. It's hardly inspiring, especially at £42 a SS shirt, £20 for shorts and £10 socks.
  20. It seems feasible as we've done similar before, but I'll believe it when I see it in the Match Programme or on the OS, or one of them on the pitch or bench (which is pretty unlikely with only 5 subs).

    No, because it's remarkably boring.
  22. It was the idea of finishing below Brighton and Portsmouth I thought was mildly ridiculous, I can see us finishing 12th or better, but both of them should be delighted with that. We left Brighton behind last year.
  23. He means "there are lots of non-English, non-EU foreigners in the Prem, and now lots of them are turning up in the Championship as well". I assume "perculating" was meant to be "percolating" but even that's pretty weird terminology, it's not exactly trickledown theory.
  24. About the same as the fee mentioned above for Cork.
  25. I'm sure I carry with me the hopes and dreams of all SaintsWeb members when I point out to you that it is "formerly" that means "in the past" not "formally" - unless of course you mean he/they used to play for Spurs/Arsenal in dinner jackets ?
