  1. Yeah, but in which case why not just photograph the pics on mannequins and superimpose heads etc. Why bother photographing the thing at all, and especially why wait until supposedly yesterday to do it ?
  2. All that article says is that the kit will be "announced", we're talking about being able to actually buy it. Well, I have interpreted "in the Megastore" to mean "available to buy", at least.
  3. I'm sure Pele would have had some of the language difficulties too. Delgado has scored in the World Cup Finals twice since he left Saints, and won the Copa Libertadores with Univerisitaria de Quito (though he didn't play in the final in 2008 ). So he's doing alright, really...
  4. That's probably about right, the expiry on the home kit offer is currently June 16 and this near the World Cup NO-ONE is selling new kits because they know people will buy World Cup shirts, they've either launched at the end of the season (Chelsea home, Liverpool home) or are waiting until mid-July (Man U, Arsenal).
  5. It was p15sing down in Eastleigh all day, anyone in the vicinity of Staplewood able to verify... it certainly wasn't SUNNY anywhere, and prior to that it was a good couple of weeks since we had an overcast day, so should be able to tell if its outdoors anyway. That's assuming it was even at Staplewood...
  6. His agent "has not ruled out the possibility of a move at some stage", which is the equivalent of him saying "well, they employ professional footballers". What it is not is any kind of endorsement or suggestion that any kind of deal or negotiations have taken place, just a statement of fact.
  7. After originally thinking this would be the case, and then going out and extending a loan so I could pay for mine, I suspect the figures might actually be quite similar (despite the fact you'd expect them to have rocketed given the season we're expecting). The point remains, that a lot of people will be p15sed off with the club for having to do things exactly like this, and plenty of people now won't spend their money at the club if they think they're exploiting their loyalty. So they get more money from forcing people into match by match, but people don't bother spending whilst they are there. Messing with fan goodwill is a risky game. What they HAVE successfully done is buried a significant de facto price rise from last season for a second season of League One football in amongst a swathe of even less popular ideas, which is some kind of media spinning genius.
  8. I was wondering. Well we'll be able to tell if the photoshoot looks like its been done in the p15sing down rain, won't we ?
  9. I suspect the reason for them taking the wall off was that the first post on their wall when the STs Announced story went up on there called the club "cvnts" for not having an instalment plan, and that was pretty much the same for every comment that was posted on the subject after that. You can't comment on the OS, you can't get anything noticed on Twitter, why leave somewhere for people to actually be critical ?
  10. That rumour about doing the photoshoot today is patently bo110cks, these things are usually done months in advance, they would hardly risk a last minute thing for something as revenue generating as this. Or, erm, Season Tickets... :/ ps it's now past midnight, where are the ITKs with their expired NDAs???
  11. Yeah, but the point is there are still people on the ninth page of this thread asking the same questions and raising points he answered in the opening post. It's not Stu's fault people don't bother to read the thread before asking the same questions...
  12. Cheaper to go onto the Umbro teamwear website, buy their "Vasco" shirt in white with a red sash for £15 and then something out of the club shop with the badge on (the shorts are a tenner, so no more than that). Once you've replaced the nice football on the badge with a glace cherry you'll still spend less than on an England shirt.
  13. If they'd had any sense they'd have launched it on 12/5, but I guess that's just too logical.
  14. I think we might unveil a new signing when the kit is launched, but if that's the case we'll have signed the guy and he'll have been pictured in the kit already - just as all the promo pics for the kit will have been taken already. If anything the kit announcement is holding up a signing announcement, not the other way around.
  15. I may have recovered by then too ! Actually if you look at the final standings we had a terrible group draw, I THINK all 4 of the teams in our group beat all 4 of the teams in the other group in the QFs ? Were the Semi-Finalists us, England, Holland and Argentina ? All from Group B.
  16. I hope its better quality than that bloke's Brazil fake yesterday, rubbisho that was, looked half decent at first glance, except that the text under the badge was clearly wrong and very fake and all the seams and stuff looked to be too tight... looked even worse compared to Spades' legit Aussie shirt.
  17. I can assist with Rattlehead but won't be helping with the whereabouts of one other poster mentioned above. But if you want to buy her house, please do.
  18. Get yourself down there between March and May and you generally find you can get shirts from £8 upwards, though whether they have them in the quantities or sizes you want is another matter. I bought a couple of long sleeved Lille shirts for £8 each recently, no doubt assisted by Canterbury going bankrupt. My works team bought 10 red England away 08/10 shirts in Feb 2009 for £5 each, plain Umbro shorts (England ones sold out) for £2.50 each and Umbro England red away socks for a ridiculous 89p each. There was an upside to the Euro 2008 qualification failure, as Sportsdirect.com had millions of pieces of kit they couldn't shift. We got a full set of kit for £10 per person, but its likely to be a one-time only thing and they ran out of the shirts at those prices over a year ago. I bought myself a couple of pairs of the light blue GK socks at 89p each as well.
  19. If you want to see a "nasty graze" Hamster, take a look at the red blob on my left knee - just visible under Robsk the ginger's left hand (camera right) on the Mag 7 pic above. Came from a probably unnecessary sliding tackle on the sandy Astro in the Quarter Final after a bloke tried to knock the ball one side of me and run around the other, the cheeky f'cker. It's still seeping 24 hours later...
  20. I think we'll all be surprised if there's any response, but that doesn't mean they're not pertinent questions worth asking.
  21. Click-click-click etc. Pleased to say that even though I've been on lunch I wasn't stupid enough to fall for Mehball's infractionable cobblers because there's plenty of reasonably sound speculation it will be tomorrow.
  22. Clearly anything happening on the OS in 4 mins would be coincidence rather than ITKness.

I am at a bit of a loss to work out what the benefits of this will be when we're not likely to be selling out anyway - I am hoping its not going to be the right to buy a ticket ahead of ST holders, meaning ST holders will have to apply too - but I readily accept that I'm biased in that one.
  25. I think the issue is that as usual he's not TOTALLY wrong, he's just miles ahead of the time where he's got a valid point. Getting his complaint in first so he can say "I told you so" if nothing happens when it should have happened (in about 2 months' time). The only other alternative is that he's mental and ridiculously impatient. Also, if we ARE going to slag him off, can we stick to the facts ? The summer Transfer Window opens at the end of the season in England : http://www.thefa.com/TheFA/WhoWeAre/ContactUs/NewsAndFeatures/2004/27097.aspx (link is from 2004 but it hasn't changed). Also, page 150 of this pdf for the Premier League rules http://www.premierleague.com/staticFiles/7a/20/0,,12306~139386,00.pdf states The first Transfer Window in any year shall commence at midnight on the last day of the Season and shall end on 31st August next if aWorking Day or, if not, on the firstWorking Day thereafter, at a time to be determined by the Board.
