We got comfortable for a couple of seasons in the Prem and people started moaning that the end of season games were boring, then look what happened !

I've never seen Barnard even once put in anything resembling Ormerod's workrate.
-
Erm, whilst I like your stats, anything that contains a category for "League 3" seriously has to be looked at as flawed. Ormerod scored 18 in 21 in Division Two (aka League One) in 2001/2 before we signed him - where are those stats ? They can only be in "League 2: BO: 36 in 102 (0.35)" which means they're being compared to Barnard's goals in League Two, which is frankly stupid and misleading. And actually, surprisingly, Barnard has the better "3rd tier" strikerate - though that's mostly because Brett was poor for a few years at Blackpool before he found himself.

Not Storrie ? -
Can you all get off this thread please ? Ta.

Well that's simple enough, stage the shootout and tell the takers all to miss. Seriously, do you think there won't already be hours of footage of known penalty takers out there ? It's not 1978. The unknown penalty takers will take care of themselves... Batty, Southgate, Waddle...

Can't wait for the immortal words "and now over to the England camp in Rustenburg" so I'll be able to pop to the loo. I'm quite looking forward to the reactivation of the "David Pleat should never be able to commentate on football EVER" Facebook group I'm a member of as well.

That's true-ish (though there's a bit of ITKness about it), but as a general concept the point stands.

Nice panorama Al.

There needs to be more accountability for some of the b011ocks spouted on here, maybe if there's more chance of people getting called on it then we'll have less nonsense in the first place... ...I can dream...

Bloody good job he's not in charge of an coach trips then... unless he's in Exeter or something.
-
Is that surprising, given that he has had another serious injury since the initial deal ?

I'm enjoying the perverse logic of this. Kazakhstan is a MASSIVE country with loads of untapped English football marketing potential. But seriously...

Your theory is gubbins, considering that once they'd lost to Gillingham (who also beat us at their ground) and Norwich in their next two games, they won 3 of the next 4, and 4 of the next 5 after that : Football League One Southampton 5-0 Huddersfield 02-03-2010 Football League One Gillingham 2-0 Huddersfield 06-03-2010 Football League One Huddersfield 1-3 Norwich 13-03-2010 Football League One Leyton Orient 0-2 Huddersfield 20-03-2010 Football League One Huddersfield 1-1 Charlton 27-03-2010 Football League One Wycombe 1-2 Huddersfield 03-04-2010 Football League One Huddersfield 2-0 Oldham 06-04-2010 Football League One Brentford 3-0 Huddersfield 10-04-2010 Football League One Huddersfield 4-3 Walsall 13-04-2010 Football League One Huddersfield 1-0 Millwall 16-04-2010 Football League One Stockport 0-6 Huddersfield 24-04-2010 Football League One Huddersfield 2-1 Colchester 01-05-2010 Football League One Exeter 2-1 Huddersfield 08-05-2010 League One Play-Off Huddersfield 0-0 Millwall 15-05-2010 League One Play-Off Millwall 2-0 Huddersfield 18-05-2010

I think we're more likely to be in the market for proven lower Prem / CCC Playoff standard players rather than never-was kids, we're still trying to get rid of enough of them... If he's 23 and hasn't got a kick for Bolton in the Prem for about 3 years he's a massive gamble at best. As others have said, may as well sign Antonio or Waigo if that's the alternative, better the devil you know.

Pretty sure that all the minor creditors owed under £2500 have already been paid off at full amount by Chainrai. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/mattslater/2010/05/its_a_fudge_not_a_fairytale.html "Only a cynic would suggest this gesture takes 235 of the club's 422 creditors out of the equation whilst only costing £180,000 but the world is full of cynics and there were a couple in the Victory Lounge. I think they may have been on the wrong side of £2,500" You're right about the "deliberately didn't pay taxes" bit though.

All the ones I've seen are huge.

OS, speedy as ever. Those gnomes were already in the West Quay shop 5 days ago.

I like the retro kits to be at the very least the same material as the original. I like the bog-standard cotton striped ones a bit, but I like the polyester Patrick-wannabe retros from last season nearly as much as the originals... just not enough to buy one.
