He owes us. We stood by him for a long time when he couldn’t play. It would be poor on his part to simply fuck off at the first opportunity. He doesn’t strike me as being like that.

I’m going to put this out there. The club’s most important signing since Lambert.
-
He has also been more effective off the bench than when he starts

I’ve read some garbage on here over the years but this is right up there. Are you Mystic Smeg?

I’m sure that at the age of 18, AB was a Villa fan but more a rugger bugger

One thing is certain in my mind. If the club were going to sack him they would have done so by now. They are in possession of all of the facts. The only way he will not be our manager next season is if the FA ban him. Bring it on.

Haha. Always on the job.

You don’t think PP has any blame to share? Really? That’s very generous. I think it would be hard to argue against the proposition that what he said and how he acted to Gibson was entirely misplaced. Who knows but the outcome might have been different if he’d said nothing and got the lawyers in very early on. He read it wrongly when throwing himself at Gibson’s mercy. Gibson was and is known for being a bit of a bastard. And I mean that in a good way if you support Boro and want the best for your club. I wish he was calling the shots at Southampton. Gibson takes no prisoners and I’m surprised that PP didn’t know that. In his position he should have done. An apology like that from PP was just manna from heaven for Gibson and by god did he exploit it. He saw that as weakness on our part. That’s because it was. No blame on PP? Have to strongly disagree.

Thanks for this. Really useful to understand the correct version of events. Possibly a little naive of him to apologise to Gibson knowing what he is like i.e. a scrapper who will do anything to protect his club, but can understand what he was trying to achieve. I get the impression that the senior management were all a little naive at the start of this. Football is dog eat dog and they should have known that but we are where we are and now we have to circle the wagons in my view and fuck the EFL, the FA and the media in the main part. Time for us to get a little nasty.

Careful FF. That is way too sensible and makes far too much sense. The only negative I’ve heard about Parsons, a really huge one mind you if actually true, relates to the throwing himself at the feet of Gibson. FF - you seem to have some internal knowledge. Is that story true?

is being a “radish” a bad thing? You could be a cabbage, a turnip or a wet lettuce. I wouldn’t mind being called a radish.

I had to look that up “on the lam”. Never heard that before. Love learning something new every day.

Ewe have to stop this.

What do you call a sheep tied to a lamp post in Cardiff?
-
Fucking a sheep is a little different to sending a spotty intern to spy on Middlesbrough FC training for a football match. Spying is far worse. At least according to Steve Gibson.

What you heard?

The first option

Slipper or cane doesn’t matter. Make his botty sting and we can all move on. The guys at the FA no doubt would approve.

The unusual thing is that every Swede I’ve ever met, and I’ve met a few, are so far from this in terms of personality and born grit. He’s acting more like a Frenchman.

49/51 in favour of him staying

Ugly football but Sean Dyche is your man if that’s what you’re looking for.
-
I think the point he’s making is that if he was being bullied in his role as far back as December and he didn’t like being bullied he could have looked for another job. Not that unreasonable a proposition.

If the FA ban him for say 6 months or more, or indeed any ban save for about 14 days, surely the club will not pack him off somewhere for a placement elsewhere until his ban is over? This all ends of course if the players want shot of him which begs the question that as he’s still here and I’m assuming the players’ opinions have been collected, there must be a decent rump of the squad who are standing by him. I know that THB posted that piccie yesterday of the bottle and his pint, and in itself that was quite simple stuff, you don’t do that if you do hate the club and its manager and you want out now.
