I don't think that during this season or next season we will be able to get anyone better, and potentially for the next few seasons after that. So, I would offer a 3 year extension, and then offer all we can next season to help him get the players which will suit his tactics. Try and keep certain players we have now by emphasing that this is a long term project.

I a not sure why people don't just use a IPTV service, the one I have has perfect Southampton streams for each game, and the link is from Saints Player. Doesn't break the bank, and you get all tv channels, PPV events, and Video on Demand etc.

I think a draw is a great result, much rather the top 2 share 2 points, than Leicester taking 3. So much can still happen in this league, 11 points is very doable, considering we staill have to play them. Even if we don't, we still gained 2 points on Ipsw today. Still a long way to go, and there will be plenty of twists and turns

I am hoping the Ips vs Leic game might be a draw tonight, as I think we could win the league in this form

Really happy with last night's performance. 5 weeks in, and we look like a completely different team. A few wins, and getting goals back from drawing (or losing) positions, will hopefully give us a bit of belief as well, which we massively lacked last season. As mentioned, we just need some more darting runs into the box now, to confuse defenders. Last night, especially in the second half, it was like having 10 men with A Armstrong. We couldn''t get the ball to him, nor was he pulling defenders away, making space in the box. Not blaming A Armstrong for this, as it was down to us not creating enough options (and confusion) in their area. Hopefully we can work on that, and keep some of our better players (who looked a class above last night), and we could become a very good team to watch.

Armstrong is not getting into positions where we can pass to him, nor is helping to draw defenders away.

It is as though these players have never even seen each other before. What on earth do we do in training all week. The b team would have put in a much better performance than this.

Yes. I might be on my own, and I might be comparing him to Jones. How've, I don't think he is too bad. It's a steep learning curve, and I think he is doing well picking up from where we were, and with the mentality of team has. If we do manage to stay up (which a lot of dependant on Thursday), then I would love to keep him as manager. People are forgetting what he inherited. It takes time, and if he does manage to keep him up, then he defo deserves the job.

I really do like him. With a team that has offered so little creativity, he shines out like a player that had the killer instinct. If he gets game time, he could become our 2nd top scorer in the league, which just shows how much he stands out. He only joined in January, and is not a striker. In to of that, he attracts fouls around the box. Opposition players get worried when he is attacking them, and bring him down. The ref (apart from last night) gives the free kicks. I think we have a great player here, but how long until it is settled into him to play backwards.
