thing is football is a team game and having the "best" squad, something i am not convinced off, means nothing if the component parts are not working together and you need all the right components not 3 or 4 the same -
Think they were looking for guys who were banned after poopey game

found in portsmouth

concerned about Harding his combination with Lallana down the left was vital in home games last season but rarely did he get behind defence today, not sure if that is because of concern regarding Jaidi's lack of pace but it has removed another attacking option. Whilst i appreciate we have only played 2 games, a win next saturday becomes important because we could be 9 points behind with a lot of teams between us and top spot

was thinking about the tactics during the second half, reminded me of England in world cup, sticking with 4-4-2 and no penetration from midfield. AP needs to act soon or he will be out of a job, whether that is right or weong it will happen
-
just because they came from the league above does not make them good players, league one is about working hard, taking chances and most of all being a team not a collection of talented individuals.

Bit one dimensional today for much of the game, flashes of good stuff from Puncheon. Lallana and Chamberlain,Kelvin was rarely troubled but we struggled to break them down on a regular basis and when we did , we missed. Realisticaly we have to get use to it, we have good players for this division but few of them could hack it and a higher level, there is still a lot of work to do on shape of team at home, imo to mant times was Lambert dropping deep and Bernard trying to win high ball. Other concern is that we do not break quickly with the starting 11 today which gives concerns for away games, whilst Antionio and Papa were not world beaters they offered something different, they did the unexpected. Still early days yet but 3 points next Saturday would be nice or we will be giving teams 10 points start again -

AA is looking for a home draw against Saints in next round of league cup to boost funds, shame his police costs will exceed revenue
-
no evidence yet it will boost funds and i think you will find that many clubs look after there hardcore and hammer the occassionals who pick and choose their games based on the success on the pitch
