22 YEARS old , money in my pocket and single. Left home to go up the Pub on Friday night returned home briefly Sunday morning and then out again until Monday late. Went by Car with 6 mates. so it had been car to Villa, Coach to West Brom, Escort Van to Bradford and Train to Palace. Remember having to hide tickets in socks in Pub, because the area was just jammed with want to be Mancs after tickets. Arrived at Wembley only to be involved in battle with Kev Coombes against a load of Mancs who tried to get at us outside turnstiles. Got in and was stood right above tunnel, out numbered 3 to 1 but sung our hearts out, whilst dodging coins from the lower section. Nervous whole game but longer it stayed at nil nil more confident we became. Then the goal, all i could think off was how long left. Luckly Clive Thomas blew his whistle on time and we had the cup. By the time we got out most Mancs had moved to the Tube station or just gone. Got in Car, back down the M3 and into Town for the biggest street party the Above Bar has ever seen. Hundreds if not thousands outside Woolies Magic

not every stand or every fan

We lose a game and all the super fans come out, 50000 at wembley, i look round SMS and think if only we had had this in the 70's and 80's, we have more singing support than we ever have done. the club is in great shape but we moan because only 3000 sing not 3500

SAINTS 0-3 West Bromwich Albion // Post-Match Reaction
70's Mike replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
over 51 years of support we have one of these a season especially when we have been on a good run, people need to calm down and see it as a bad day at the office although in a game crying out for width why Puncheon was left on bench was a bit strange because Ramirez and Lallana just do not hug the touch line -

you younger guys will have to get used to not pkaying them for years as it was from late 70's to early 80's and then a lot of the 90's.

the 4-1 was just that blo*dy song and the clown with the bell
-
wish we had the bubble that day being locked in for those 45 mins was the worst moment of my 51 years of support

he was a pratt, look at Millwall, West Ham and Chelsea, Cardiff the ones to worry about are not the ones in colours.

Not been to many grounds that takes you through tree covered avenues with hanging baskets, of course we could move to Horton Heath , oh forgot Eastleigh council did not want us.
