the end is nigh because the Trust will need to re do their income figures as attendances continue downwards, especially as the last 2 have been local derbies
-
me i am proud to be a Saints supporter we stood up to the baby eating Stoke, who have not lost at Home for months beaten by a fluke shot, good team selection, always laugh at those who moan about the subs from behind their screens, Stoke style means that being down to 10 means nothing. Sorry i forgot we should have passed it more, like Liverpool tried(they lost 3-1) or Arsenal have tried at Stoke Easy game according to some from behind their screens. only target is to finish 4th from bottom on the last day, people need to hold their nerve
-
Agree with the second part but not convinced most teams would have won at Stoke even if three one up. also find it strange that people criticse the Subs but the same guy picked the side that got us in front.
-
hope you are right but not convinced especially about CB's.
-
could get worse, the FA plans to improve youth football may lead to defenders and tough mid field players being a rare commodity

Has Adkins got anything right since the end of last season

The best two managers this club ever had struggled in this division, Ted kept us up by trying to win games in 67 as we are trying to do now, lawrie took us down. some of this clubs younger supports really need to get real, building teams takes time -
still better than Meridian
-
Stoke like to bully you, so game will be like alot of those last season away from SMS.Need to win second ball because they will win lots of first ball. Team above looks ok but Clyne could be suspect against crosses

Stayed at Home with Missus but 2 lads went, my eldest is a bl**dy moaner but have heard from him happy with a point,he felt we battled and were not out fought. Believe is with the players shame a few of the internet warriors were a bit more positive although i note some of the main moaners missing at moment because we got a point -
if all those, on here, who worry so much about the level of support arranged to sit together then problem would be solved. except for half of them are on here at kick off time
-
i understand the math, and as we have done in the past we have to finish one place above the relegation zone. there are lots of winnable games for us before the end of the season, yes we were crap today but we are still out of the drop zone. Fulham is a winnable game but not a must win game they come against Reading QPR and Wigan, Sunderland away, villa away No need to panic yet
-
over the season everyone plays each other twice, imo we all need to wait until at least Easter to start the doom and gloom
-
going to discount Terry Paine because imo not really a signing so that leaves Ron Davies, David Armstrong, Alan Ball or Jimmy Case Needs a bit more thought
-
this but not just Morgan, speed of brain is as important as speed of foot. without Lallana we struggle in the football brain stakes
-
Shooting on a wet day would have helped address that, instead of another square ball

Who or what has been significant in our turnaround?

despite all your points i still think we would have lost the games we lost even with the current set up -
not convinced ! they are a franchise and the coaching depends on the the individual, some are good, others awful.

standard of opposition only reason imo -

So even at this stage some cheating skate or pretend skate wants something but does not have the money to pay for it, but trys to blag it. Liquadation is the only safe option for the tax paying people of this country

both theo and the Ox made the biggest mistake of their lives, in football terms, going to the Arse a side which likes to pass you to death rather than rely on pace.As with all English players at Arse they get dropped and have to change their game
-
Thing is the Trust is a front for 4 or 5 business men, who are hiding behind the Trust because they may not pass Fit and Proper test
-
THE quality of the opposition
-
don't matter how much pace they have if they do not have ball
-
wayne bridge, gareth bale and luke shaw must be something in the water that produces left backs, shaw looks like the best of the 3 in terms on defending
