  1. Would rather he just focused on his own game to be honest. He is perhaps a little too emotional at times.
  2. Lemina out of Intl games with thigh injury.
  3. We have no money to spend.
  4. We have no money for January transfers IMO.
  5. Would go with Richardson as a front sweeper for this one, Ron.
  6. We didn't outplay them. If anything, especially first half it was the opposite. By PL standards it was a 'meh' home performance. Whilst the starting XI did well, the Hughes subs ruined us.
  7. Hi Tony, Just to let you know, we have no "funding" to back anyone with. All IMHO of course.
  8. Draw was what we deserved IMO. Officials obviously horrendous, but for both teams. Hughes got all the subs wrong and it cost us. 1. Austin is busted at PL level. Obviously he 'scored' but also became extremely isolated as his movement is awful. Shouldn't have come on that early IMO. Could have shifted Gabbi up front and added Elyounoussi or JWP. (Gabbi had a good allround game, as did Hoedt and Lemina for me). 2. JWP is a terrible sub and at that stage we needed Obafemi or Moi to keep a bit of pressure on them. Instead we gifted them momentum and allowed them to pin us back... 3. Obafemi should have come on as soon as they scored. We are ****e, clueless in the boardroom and on the pitch.
  9. Quite. Seen nothing from Gabbiadini to suggest he should be starting to be honest.
  10. Bit concerning: Notebook: FIFA investigating whether #MCFC have broken TPO rules; #Southampton owner Gao Jisheng to pick club’s next manager; #Burnley’s technical director search hits stumbling block; #Leicester’s week of mourning; Courtois still at odds with Conte. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/fifa-investigates-manchester-city-over-alleged-third-party-ownership-breach-w097szvnh
  11. So now we have it, from Krueger's mouth, the following are on the Ownership Board of the Club: Mr Gao Nelly Gao Katherina Liebherr Ms Li (Finance) Ralph Krueger Sorry, but IMO that isn't a group suitable to successfully run a PL football team and I wouldn't have any faith in them getting things right. Massively lacking a CEO with football knowledge, let alone the eventual 'replacement' for Reed. Worrying times. https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/17213570.southampton-chairman-ralph-krueger-on-les-reed-mark-hughes-the-january-window-and-gao-jisheng/
  12. Did Reed pick the team? I just assume(d) Hughes doesn't rate him - which is fairly believeable as he has been poor for as much time as good at Saints.
  13. Will be interesting if we try to get someone who is in work as that could take quite some time, like Everton with Brands.
  14. Don't see Hughes going until at least when a new guy is appointed to replace Reed, and likely that won't be quick - even more so of it were someone employed elsehwere - which you would imagine is needed to get the right person.

    Stig Johansen

Only because MLG's Dad massively overrated him.

    Stig Johansen

Won't be popular with ALWAYS_SFC but someone had to say it. He was stealing the fans hard earned cash.

    Stig Johansen

Considering we signed Stiggy in 1997 for 600k and he was utterly ****e, is he 'pound for pound' one of our worst ever signings? Thats probably the current equivalent of a £12m signing and he made no impact. The Windows 95 version of the black box was seemingly stuck on the Scandanavian setting, which didn't do us too bad to be fair but the Stig was a Carrillo style flop.
  18. I think there is a bit of a fight to secure him, certainly between Ireland and Nigeria, as otherwise an Intl call up is too soon.
  19. This is a red herring and the least of our problems IMO.

    Hughes OUT

I disagree with almost every single football related post your write. Hughes needs to go, but Strachan is just a like for like dinosaur manager. The worst thing about Hughes is his lack of a consistent, visible tactical plan. Strachan would be the same. We need someone younger with a bit of energy and an actual playing philosophy. (Not getting Marco Silva instead of Pellegrino was a big error).
  21. "Morning Mr Gao, it has taken a while to get hold of you. I have a proposition for you..."
  22. Mark Hughes was encouraged by the attacking threat carried by his side, despite the 7-1 mauling at the hands of a rampant Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium today. "I felt we were a threat all game and obviously forced the issue for the Laporte own goal which was pleasing. We had worked on it in the week and carried out our game plan well." "For 5 of their goals the referee was naïve and ultimately that has cost us, we definitely deserved a point, if not more. Clearly we have played well and are close to where we want to be, which is competing for a top 10 finish. If we play like this going forward then I am confident we will get there."
  23. Who do you genuinely feel is in the relegation battle, then?
  24. Newcastle won't go down. Rafa can organise a team and their fixtures til Jan are excellent, unlike their start. They will get double our points between now and Christmas IMO.
  25. He wouldn't get anywhere near their team! Ridiculous post. Which other slow, non goal threat, non creative midfielders do they have? Its not a type they want.
