  1. Possibly. What's the amount? The reports seem a little unsure. Dortmund clearly haven't activated it, so a bidding war will increase the figure being offered. I assume we'll accept if the total amount gets close to it.
  2. Maybe, but Ricky scored goals from everywhere - he struck the ball beautifully. This fella is more of a tap in merchant. Ricky didn't play on the shoulder or make runs through leaving him one on one with keepers. I don't see the similarities myself. If he scores a similar number of goals, we will be golden.
  3. I am hoping all this ABK movement/offer etc. happened earlier in the week/last week (with reporters now catching up with these stories - hence us making bids for Woods and possibly THB) and the deal is pretty much done. It feels bloody late in the day for Bayern to join the party and start making bids (although obviously welcome). I think we are going to get what we want for him and not be pressured to loan him out for buttons.
  4. No chance. He becomes a free agent next summer - and that means no transfer fee for a Prem side and bigger wages for him. He ain't jeopardizing that with a contract with a Championship side that will be less appealing than the ones he turned down while we were in the Prem. The only reason he signs a new deal with us is if zero prem sides have shown any interest in signing him this summer. Pretty sure Everton have, so he will be confident iof getting a deal next year when the fee required is £0.
  5. or Mara does seem keen to leave, so his agent is working very hard to find him a new home.
  6. Need a fair bit of flexibility on who you are bringing in then. Several targets for each position, and all sounded out in advance with provisional discussions held between all parties. Very challenging to get deas over the line. Must be great when one is concluded. BY then most of us fans have got bored of it and have moved on to the next rumour.
  7. or had the medical yesterday.
  8. one year of his contract. He feels like a player we will have been tracking for years and years - I assume there is someone at the club connected to the scouting department that has been here a long time too?
  9. I should imagine if you are working on these deals it isn't calm today and wasn't yesterday or any day in the last few weeks.
  10. or offloading KWP and understudying Bree! We just signed Abu, another 19 year old right back. Seems strange to be looking for another. I guess Abu might only be seen as a U21 team player and this lad first team already.
  11. What is your interpretation of `serious link'? We were seriously linked to Holgate and Fraser right at the start of the window. Those deals took a while to happen. The Downes' move was heavily covered for a long time in advance. I think we may have been discussing him oo here before the press were though, so when the `serious' link took place I am not sure. The reported approach/bid for Nathan Woods seems genuine and very serious - that's obviously not happened yet and may never will. Luca Kerber and Hove links both seemed quite serious and genuine and haven't happened yet - very tricky to know if they were true or not. The Piroe link was serious and seems genuine. Didn't he mention it himself that we were interested? Not sure if/what parts of the Paintsil story is genuine or not. Ross Stewart bid/story seems serious. It's moving pretty fast. Raises the question, what is fast? Some of these transfers pop up, but the talks maybe have been over weeks or even longer.
  12. when I see both Prem and Championship sides linked to a player, the first thing that comes to mind is `part of, if not all of this story is bollocks'
  13. you are just joking, right? It's hard to keep up with the discussion nuances on this very fast moving thread.
  14. yes. I think they are.
  15. or have possibly been mentioned briefly in the press, a while ago, but then we have collectively moved on on here - a bit like Fraser and Holgate, who were linked to us right at the very start of the window, and then reemerged just as they were being completed.
  16. It's been reported that Dortmund have about €10m left to spend this summer (unless they sell someone else, which looks unlikely at this point), so they have the funds to cover that amount this year. Assuming the total amount (loan + transfer fee) that appeared in the SKY Germany story stays the same, you'd think this deal was still possible. We are just talking about more up front - assuming the transfer was not optional.
  17. Very late to start that kind of negotiation, but who knows, maybe discussions have been going on for weeks and it's just not made the press. Many do go under the radar - the Fati to Brighton move - I can't find a single story (in the weeks before) about that transfer before it was announced today.
  18. not sure I follow. I am pretty sure they would be happy to let Johnson go. He was seen as very poor for them last season. I mentioned this yesterday, KWP would be a good option for West Ham and I wouldn't be surprised if they made an offer. I don't think they have quite got their fullback slot sorted and he can obviously cover both.
  19. If this transfer occurs, it will obviously be pretty late in the window, but seemingly it couldn't happen until now, as his availability on loan only seems to have cropped up near the end of the window. Does that mean that waiting and being patient (and not getting another guy in early) might be a good idea at times if it means you ultimately get the best player in the end? I am very interested to see THB play, as I thought Woods looked a good option and most on here seem to think he is even better.
  20. Iwobi to Fulham looks likely. Demarai Gray also very likely off to Saudi. If both happen will there be enough financial wiggle room to do a deal for Sulemana, perhaps on loan this year with a requirement to buy afterwards, similar to the ABK deal that has been touted by Sky Germany?
  21. unless we loan Ben Johnson from West Ham of course.
  22. Chez

    Che Adams

https://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/23756388.andoni-iraola-future-kieffer-moore-afc-bournemouth/ Doesn't read as though Bournemouth expect to sign Che, but managers keep things close to their chest. Cardiff have been trying to get Moore on loan, but perhaps that deal depends on Bournemouth getting a striker. Maybe they had put a bid in for Che, but it's low and we haven't accepted it...yet...I am guessing now. It still feels like the obvious move to me. Che did a job on them and that kind of thing is not easily forgotten. In the end, for all the talk on here of the need to keep him, the football business will still not want Che to walk for free, so I am sure a deal will be done if a replacement can be brought in.
  23. They do want Onuachu back. Their Manager has said so. Also Onuachu does want to go back. Doesn't mean it will happen.
  24. I imagine many clubs have called and asked how much and our price tag has been massive which ends the discussion. Surprised his agent hasn't created some noise.
