  1. I hope he stays because we are going to need A whipping boy here to allow some of you to vent your anger on.
  2. if it is Stephens then I'm not surprised (as he wouldn't of left Oldham on a 3 month loan unless it was going to turn into a transfer) but I am disappointed.
  3. It's a lot of money, but you must see the potential in this lad surely? Not quite the same but Bale went for £10m after one season in the CCC. Fabian Delph went for £6m and he never had the same potential as Chamberlain.
  4. nice touch and a decent left foot cross, but that is absolutely it. No pace and no engine. Certainly don't think he is good enough or fit enough to play left midfield and get up and down that line all day. He was OK as part of a forward three as he never had to track back, but his lack of pace means he very rarely makes anything happen. Never seen him beat a fullback ever - not exactly what you want on your CV as a left winger.
  5. ever thought that perhaps he should have scored 20 given the chances that came his way? We don't want a stand around waiting for a chance to drop his way kind of striker, we need a busy, speedy, good touch, will finish kind of guy to compliment Ricky. Conelly with pace if you will.
  6. Swindon appear to.
  7. I'm glad we are not like Norwich where the renewal process starts earlier and earlier each year. Its almost getting to a situation when they renew their season ticket a month after the season starts. Madness. As soon as our renewal process starts shifting earlier in the season then we know our finances are not how they should be.
  8. other prem sides are looking at him - so no chance.
  9. it was John Ryan the Donny Rovers Chairman (became oldest footballer) who came on at the end of a game and he richly deserved it having saved them from extinction and just got them back into the football league. Brilliant man and one the Rovers fans will be for ever thankful to.
  10. and one of the few managers that doesn't use every post match interview to moan about refs. I would suggest his upbeat positive nature has had a huge role in their continued battle to survive. I can only see him going on to great things.
  11. I have no problem with there being no instalment plan. As Mikee says, one exists already, its match by match tickets. What annoys me is the ticket tax, especially on away tickets. Look at the number of players thanking fans for amazing away support helping them to win away games in the run in and you know how valued our support is. The club should be helping to encourage big away supports if it has a positive impact on results, but charging a tax to buy an away ticket does the complete opposite IMO. I begrudge paying it. It makes me feel as though I am being ripped off by the very club that relies on my support to exist.
  12. Next saturday's lynching is prevented.
  13. I can see Grant back to the skates. The fans rate him.
  14. I'd just like a half decent meat and tatty pie or a pasty that isn't as greasy as ****. As for concourses, we have to de-concrete them (tiles etc) if you are ever going to get me having a drink before a game. Depressing is the only word to describe the surroundings.
  15. we couldn't afford any of their wages. That's why West Ham will happily allow players to leave.
  16. as with any player we'll see what he's like then back him to the hilt if he's decent and he has the scoring knack. I don't give a **** what league they come from, its all about the quality.
  17. My Bury season ticket holder friend would string me up if I didn't pick you up on the fact Bury haven't ever been non league. They were in League 2 when Nugent signed for Preston - so exactly the same jump as Fondre would make.
  18. Nicky Butt, Alan Smith, Joe Cole, Glen Johnson, Damien Duff, Michael Owen
  19. personally I don't blame Grant for the skates relegation. His hands were tied in terms of who he could bring in and the continued financial battles throughout the season hampered him, not to mention admin and the -9 points which gave him no chance. At West Ham however he had enough backing to get the job done, but he simply was not up to it.Very strange choice and one that has cost Gold big style.
  20. Genuine question, is he better than Barnard?
  21. I wouldn't shout that idea too loud as he's not overly enamoured by chinny and he already has a tarmac area right outside **** park that would be perfect to put his nose out joint.
  22. fair enough, but is anyone allowed to question anything about Saints any more or do we just have to accept everything because the football side is successful right now? It might not always be that way.
  23. didn't know that fact about Stokes almost joining the skates in December. Lovely.
  24. £15m release clause in his contract. Wonder if AOC has something similar.
  25. his dad to say so?
