I think you need a girlfriend or something. As we've covered before, you're the one in a cult. The rest of us live in a slightly wider world where we can enjoy the creative endeavors of someone without having to sign in blood to everything they happen to believe politically. When we're talking about Children's literature it is frankly mind-boggling how pathetic you have come across. We can have a variation on this conversation again if anything ever happens to Ken Loach, or Mark Steel, or Billy Bragg. I'd encourage it. Make my fu cking day. Tell me I'm not allowed to like them either.

Lap lap lap lap lap lap lap.

When is the Steven Kinnock press conference?
-
I found out my wife had the virus so went back to work the next day.
-
The "exceptional circumstances" are I am Dominic Cummings so I can do what I want. I'm sure the usual suspects on here will lap lap lap it up.

Jackanory has gone downhill since the old days.

Only keeping us waiting 25 minutes. Anyway, not long from finding out his is the only family in Britain with autistic child and the only family in Britain who have had to grieve a relative recently.

The Prime Minister could have very easily announced that at 5pm last night. That's actually the point. He didn't, and Duckie, who likes to accuse others of "howling" was howling about "the lockdown Taliban" after that, rather than asking for an investigation. But loony Joe Anderson says it the following day and now hes all for it.

Conservative MP support Conservative Prime Minister. Yes, this is an earth shattering breakthrough. Also, Lee Anderson is absolutely bats hit. Right up your street.

For one it is Guided and Westie going on and on about Kinnock. Joined of course by the various outriders in the media, that posh little Guido-child was on ITV this morning spinning the same line. I've already said if Cummings had just turned up in his parents drive for an hour the story would have been dead by lunch time on Saturday. The only hypocrisy is pretending things that are completely different are the same for the political convenience. That's the dictionary definition of "Whataboutery".
-
Missing out the whole "don't travel to a second home" thing then.
-
If all Cummings did was sit on a deckchair on his parents driveway for the time it took to drink a cup of tea the story would have been over by Saturday lunchtime. Funny you are not doing your days-stale whataboutery on the government advisors that had to and did resign.
-
Presumably you are defending Cummings so by extension this is fine to you so what's your point? PS - you're about two days late for peak Steven Kinnock Whataboutery on this thread.
-
At least he's still got Duckie and Les swooning over him.
-
Jesus fu cking wept. Like anyone is going to say anything to you that is going to make you think for a second that Dominic Cummings could have possibly done anything wrong.
-
That press conference went incredibly well.
-
Tony Blair let Bernie Ecclestone off the hook on tobacco advertising back in 1997 so really what's all the fuss about Dominic Cummings. Jacqui Smith's husband watched porn on a home office computer so what's all the fuss about Dominic Cummings. Geoff Hoon gone done over for being caught looking for lucrative lobbying work. Jonathan Aiken got himself banged up for libel over his relationship with the Arabs. Jeremy Thorpe for fu cks sake. And Profumo, what about him. I think we can all agree that all of this means that Dominic Cummings can do whatever he likes for the rest of his life because what about that other thing that happened once.
-
It's fair to say I didn't have "yeah but yeah but the Iraq war" on my Whataboutery bingo card. So congratulations, you've reached new heights today.
-
....leaking to the Daily Star. Okay.

That's the one. Bear Hunt probably his most famous work but my two loved two picture books about the Bear in the Cave and in the Town which were great. Also a book called "Bananas in My Ears" illustrated by Quinten Blake is very funny. Also his book introducing Shakespeare to young readers is very good. All in all, he's great.

Basically it's been a great night for Steven Kinnock who has now got himself two more trips to see his parents with complete immunity from any criticism from the Conservatives or the media. And it's a shame for that professor as well, he could have been ploughing that sort a couple more times before he needed to hand his badge in. Gutted for the lad.

Someone put it on a plate for Laura Kuenssberg back on 10th May.
-
Yeah, you're the one in the cult, sweetheart.

Not sure that this has any relevance to this thread whatsoever but I remember seeing him perform in person as a child and I have several of his books in the house now that I read and have read to my children since they were small. And his Radio 4 series was great. Is this a contemporary poets thread now?
