  1. 1,000 respondents in a poll is acceptable standard sample for a national opinion poll, so its perfectly fine as a sample for a much smaller group of the population. It's all looking very hopeful so far and maybe, just maybe Labour might just turn into the thing you hate and fear the most: A Labour party focused on getting into power and making actual decisions and enacting actual policies that make actual change to the lives of the poorest and most vulnerable in society. No longer a cosy little self congratulatory protest club. I know you've told us all you are wealthy enough never to be bothered about that and prefer to posture snd pontificate on the sidelines but I have a deep seated belief that change is always possible and it starts at the ballot box.
  2. Commentators going on about nine-nil is the new "just imagine the team they could have had if they hadn't sold all their players".
  3. This is obviously nothing like Cameron and Osborne but you already know that.
  4. Tax breaks for coastal based elite league football teams muthafu kkka.
  5. Some of the data from this is unreal and shows the Labour membership in a particularly poor light. Not a cult, though.
  6. The constituency Labour Party of North Islington, whose MP is Mr Jeremy Corbyn, have voted to nominate Kier Starmer as their choice for leader. Not the fatuous drip and vapid acolyte Rebecca Long Bailey. Maybe, just maybe, the era of of The Cretin is coming to an end.
  7. Two and a half seasons?
  8. Aaaaaaaand there we go. Come on Angus.
  9. Feels like we have had our chance to win this.
  10. Great game for the neutrals. I effing hate the neutrals.
  11. Ball bags. Luckily we've got loads of options at right back and centre mid so everything is fine.
  12. Great. We should be trying to win.
  13. Weak. 3.2/10.
  14. I think the good news is the EU cannot punish is any more. No one, at all can suggest the EU is punishing us because they can't because we are out and totally sovereign. That's brilliant because it means we make all our own laws and decisions and it is impossible for us to be punished because we have total control. Every thing will be our sovereign choice. That's the main plus for me. We cannot ever be punished by anyone now.
  15. WHY ARE PEOPLE SLAGGING HIM OFF DOES NO ONE REMEMBER EVERYONE SLAGGED OFF SADIO MANE
  16. I'm just so pumped that Kevin Danso is still here.
  17. I think we need to move on from the season of "it's impossible to do business in January and the club is right not to overspend to sign anyone and it's good we got shot of those players. It was right to sell them. Let's see where we are in the summer and make changes then". That window is closed. We can now get all warmed up for the summer season of "you can't expect to make loads of signings in one window, the team won't gel and no one can expect all those players to stay if they get a better offer than we can give them so it's correct to sell them. Let's see where we are in January and make changes then". See you in July everyone.
  18. Presumably the SFC senior management team are all high-fiving themselves and congratulating themselves on another sensational transfer window. We don't buy success, we breed it. We don't sign anyone. We sell and loan and flog every fu cking player we can. #vision
  19. Will leave a massive gap in that all-important fourth choice centre back berth.
  20. All I can think is that is a dreadfully depressing signing for Arsenal. What have they become? Good luck to Cedric, at best an average and completely forgettable player with a few moments, but really nothing special.
  21. My Spurs mate says that everyone on the Spurs forums says he's rubbish but my mate tells me that he's been reminding everyone that all Southampton fans definitely said that Mane was rubbish and look how that turned out basically Kyle Walker-Peters will turn out to be as good as Mane because everyone says he's rubbish now.
  22. Dancing in the streets of Shropshire tonight.... If there was going to be a result I never thought it was going to begin from 0-2 against "The greatest team on the planet ™" so I gave in to the children and put a film on. Very pleased for that kid who put it in his own net. Now thankfully not the story.
  23. I turned off the Shrewsbury game about two minutes after that own goal. What did I miss?
  24. The potential to secure, long term, the services of someone who next season might, might be our fourth choice centre back. Be still my beating heart. How about we try and sign a centre back good enough that he pushes Jack Stephens into the fourth choice spot. That's how we will actually improve.
  25. All sounds plausible Hypo, cheers. I've got no expectation that Ralph is going to be here for multiple seasons. If he carries on current form and we end up, say, 8th then I'd say he's gone in the summer. It's not like the club have backed him with resources so what's he got to stay for? What is likely to keep him here is that his record remains patchy and any potential blue-chip clubs would look at 9-0 and some stuttering form in the autumn. That said he's probably already done enough to get a mid ranking job in Germany again. If he does the entirity of next season I will be very surprised.
