Two games to save his job, no wins in those two games. So possible bit still feels a long way off.
  3. Puel "similar type" to Paul Sturrock? Okay then, call me a nitpicker. Peas in a pod them two. Jesus wept. Pellegrino was an external appointment with no connection to Saints, so not similar to Wigley at all who was a club insider appointed for his relationship with the players. We stayed up under Hughes and went down under Redknapp. They aren't particularly similar either. Sturrock > Wigley > Redknapp was done in about nine months. Puel had and entire season, Pellegrino appointed in the summer off-season, Hughes eight months after that, so a good two year process. Other than that bang on mate. If we replace Hughes with Jaidi, then sack him a handful of games later and replace with Pardew you might have a point but right now you don't.
  4. Except Puel had an entire season not less than 20 matches, Pellegrino was an external appointment taken on during an extended recruitment process, while Wigley was a promoted from within panic appointment while the season was under way. And we stayed up under Hughes but didn't under Redknapp. Its uncanny how completely not like each other the two periods are.
  5. What the EU should do is put some actual freaking rules down to control this free movement. People should only be allowed to stay for a defined length of time - like three months or something. They should all be forced to prove they have the means to support themselves while here and they should get a job. If they haven't got a job in three months then they should leave. That's what I think the EU should do. Something like that.
  6. I think you'll find Ronald Koeman did get us to the group stages of the Europa League.
  7. Paolo Sousa's agent currently earning his money then.
  8. Stupidity always hits a nerve with me. It's not Google "saying" anything, it's just a search engine of content from all over the world. Plenty of which define a saved penalty as a missed penalty. It's called the English language: give it a try. Meanwhile, Gabbiadini missed his penalty last night. https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/17259878.southampton-are-beaten-6-5-on-penalties-by-leicester-in-the-carabao-cup/
  9. And a miss.
  10. Try googling "missed penalty" and see what comes back in videos, match reports etc. Hint: it's loads and loads and loads of penalties saved by the keeper. A miss means opportunity missed, chance missed. Like, say, a keeper saving it. Basic stuff, really basic.
  11. He's say it was a effing terrible penalty, ergo striker at fault, ergo miss. It's not like it was some wonder save. He fluffed it. It was sh it.
  12. It was a bloody awful penalty for a professional striker to have taken. He missed it.
  13. At least the penalties are our end.
  14. Our mental toughness and will to win mean we'll pi ss this on penalties.

    GAOING DOWN

I've got a pig's head that I was planning to throw on the pitch tomorrow night. I'm aiming to do this during the fourteenth minute, because his takeover was completed on the 14th August, as we all know.

I have also just read about a 9pm announcement.
  21. It's insane. If a Chinese businessman wanted to invest £XXXXm in redeveloping, say Sheffield or Norwich or Southampton they just need to speak to the relevant local authorities and any current landowners. Yes, some schmoozing/greasing wheels probably required but thisismore to do with hiring contractors than the money men proving some commitment to the area. Buying a football club to "get a foothold" is utterly irrelevant.
  22. "All cabinet members".
  23. Nah, when the history of Brexit is written it will become abundantly clear that it was all the fault of Amber Rudd and David Gauke. I mean. It's, like, obvious they done all the stuff and that.
  24. I am going - I am expecting to be part of a protest if Hughes still there. Hopefully Obifemi gets a start and gives us some hope.
  25. This will be fascinating if it happens. A Remainer pretending to be a Leaver versus a Leaver pretending to be a Remainer. Kind of. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2018/11/25/theresa-may-demands-brexit-tv-debate-jeremy-corbyn-campaign/amp/?WT.mc_id=tmgliveapp_iosshare_Arn4qDv3CtNs&__twitter_impression=true
