Leicester, Middlesbrough.

Adkins and Hull through. Would be a nice draw.

Well, that's something. Of course he could mean everything is false. But let's have some hope. After all, he could have not commented about us at all.
-
This is very true, but we are absolutely desperate for someone to hit the ground running and be a catalyst for change. Settling in/bedding in is a luxury we cannot afford. He'll know this. Personally this is why I think we should have been signing someone who has been a first team regular, rather than tying ourselves in knots with pointless stats desperately wringing out a statistical goalscoring legend from a pitiful number of appearances. We've signed someone who has no concept of being the main man in a team, none at all. Anyway, the comparisons with Micky Evans are only slightly tongue in cheek - we really need him to play that role. We need an impact signing to make an impact. Gabbiadini did it last season, so it can be done.

Didn't get picked, didn't score. Good luck at Saints Guido, let's hope you are better than your career suggests and let's hope you don't spend too much time on the subs bench you are so familiar with.
-
Even at the time no one thought for a minute that signing had anything to do with Jan the man. This guy is a Pellegrino player.

Is this our the boy called Guido Carillo Every day he's showing his skill-o Dreaming dreams we play like Brazil-o And he fu cking hates Pompey. Sha la la la la la la la la Sha la la la la la la la la Sha la la la la la la la la And he fu cking hates Pompey

Beat me to it. It's not on his Instagram anyway.

I quincy us making another signing soon.
-
That eye-gym has been too small for too long. Great news.
-
Austin Pelle Jay Rod was a great signing and got injured Mane scored 20+ goals in the season before we signed him All first choice regulars at the previous clubs. Gabbiadini has turned out to be not a great signing but he wasn't first choice at his previous club. Funny that.
-
Everyone wants any signing to work out well. I am happy to go on record and say I hope he is the Micky Evans we've been waiting for.
-
And decent performances vs Spurs, Arsenal.

Ten days ago I bet you'd never even heard of this guy, now we've all got to have unshakeable faith in him. I didn't realise that "Not being good enough to get in the Monaco side" was a prerequisite for a new signing these days. I'd prefer a more straightforward prerequisite - say, demonstrates consistent goalscoring ability over a sustained run in the team we are signing from. But that only worked for players like Austin, Pelle, Mane, Jay Rod so obviously that's impossible and unreasonable now even though we have done this with success multiple times. Perish the thought we sign someone who can hold down a place in a team.

I'm not employed by the club sweetheart. Funnily enough those "micky mouse league" players have all made a better bigger and more successful impact at our club than those we have signed who were not getting games in non micky mouse leagues. Hojberg, Gabbiadini, Lemina amongst others have arrived from oooh exciting non micky mouse league and....flopped. Whereas our crappy old micky mouse players like rubbish old Pelle, rubbish old Mane, rubbish old Virgil, rubbish old Jay Rod, rubbish old Wanyama clearly didnt.
-
Mane, Pelle, Rodriguez all scored 20+ goals playing regularly for their clubs before we signed them and I thought they were all good signings and they all were. What's your point about Bertrand again?
-
No idea. Unfortunate for him, not my problem. He ain't getting picked. All I've said is I wish we'd sign someone who has been playing regularly and scoring regularly. We've done it before with some success so call me bonkers but that's what I would have like to have seen us do again because it is perfectly possible.
-
His goal return is sh it. On my planet someone not getting game time means they're not getting selected ergo they ain't much cop. Absolutely mind boggling that this is being used to help you massage numbers to pretend he is a world beater. Personally I am looking forward to this guy turning out for us and banging in a goal every other game just like he sort of has if you, like, calculate it by minutes and divide it by the, er, goals and we carry the one and honest he is Paulo Rossi when he gets going.
-
Weird the manager is directly quoted as saying this when we haven't announced yet.
-
Being that the Leeds crest from the 70s is probably one of the best club badges of all time, I don't know why they don't just go back to that.
-
Just saw that on the news. He's hardly going to say anything different. He's not going to walk around Davos reminding people that he thinks he's fu cked the country up and actually it's all his fault really. In Davos, and on planet earth, we call that putting a brave face on it.
-
Charlie Austin - 10 in half a season before, 18 Prem goals the season before Graziano Pelle - 26 goals the season before we signed him. Sadio Mane - 23 goals Jay Rodriguez- 21 goals Ricky Lambert - 29 goals Billy Sharp - 10 in 20 game half a season So yeah, I don't think it's impossible to bring in proven goalscorers whatever level we're at, and funnily enough I think the pool of strikers can extend beyond this guy who people are fudging figures to pretend he's some goal machine.
-
Absolutely no fu cking idea. Not my job.
-
5, 8, 5 goals in the last three seasons: Shane Long stats. I think 4 of his five goals this season were in cup ties against French third and second tier teams. Your fudging of the figures can't hide that. I'd prefer someone who is a first choice and has scored 20 or so top level goals in the last calendar year.
