I would think 36 points will be enough this season. It feels like a very low standard down there. Certainly if we continue our point-per-game record for the rest of the season then we'll be fine.

Also, Paul Merson managed Walsall. True story. And Shearer angled and angled for managerial jobs, then relegated Newcastle then kept quiet ever since.

Howard Wilkinson was subsequently caretaker England manager which is pretty much on the radar. And he worked in the Premier League as part of the Steve Cotteril dream team at Sunderland. Which went well.
