I thought we get EL if we finish sixth come what may - we get Man City's league cup spot. The EL spot only disappears if Liverpool win the EL if that spot is occupied by Liverpool. It doesn't come from another club.

I think that's right. One EL spot for the league (5th) and one each for the two cups, with the League Cup one given now to sixth. Yesterday's result left us really needing a MUFC Cup win to be certain.

If they lose tonight we could draw and still finish above Liverpool even if they win on Sunday. Which would be nice.

Thanks. Just had to check how it works - no one qualifies for the fourth qualifying round in isolation, just the rejects from the CL qualifying and the winners from the third EL qualifying. Once we are European mega-regulars this will all come naturally.....
